Lyrics: ✨ [Verse 1] Everything is simple 'til it's not Learned to love the ropes when you were caught See they could be braided a different way And sinking into nothing, you learn to stay [Verse 2] Singers tend to hide the truth Oh, you hear it, if it speaks to you But what do you expect? It serves them well To edit anything that's fit to tell [Verse 3] I'm no better, and I'm no worse I'm still around but it's a curse And you'll just do the best you can And time will call you a good man And sing your praise, because you would Sing it yourself because you could But what do I expect? It serves you well To edit anything that's fit to tell [Verse 4] Everything is simple until it's not Learned to love the ropes when you were caught Everything is simple until it's not Everything is simple

Heard this on college radio driving the other day, had to figure out who they were. Great song, great sound. For those not too young, almost impossible not to think of mazzy star when first hearing her voice. While similar, its NOT the same tho, so thats not meant to be a sleight, but a big compliment. These guys definitely have their own really good thing going 👍

My thought exactly: Mazzy Star! However, I wish they would change the footage. "Rodeo is Animal Cruelty": kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKbJZJ1_hrd0a8k

Yeah they have been called our generation's Mazzy Star by a number and yet I find them even better. I'd say they are more diverse than Mazzy Star

fan of this incredible band for close to 15 years now. They are so good at times (like this album) it hurts. Saw them at Schubas on Halloween night dressed as a girl where I won the costume contest! Also at the empty bottle where I received, and still have, their setlist. I remember asking them both before the show for it and they promised it to me and even asked if I wanted to hear a certain song. I told them I loved "In the Pines" and sure enough they played it. Incredible band.

Been a fan since the first album. Will be seeing them live in NYC in April for the 7th or 8th time. Beautifully composed, potent lyrics, Molly's dreamy voice is "all of the feels" as the kids say.

I currently started a new business. I'm working my ass off, nonstop, to make it a success. I'l probably be doing this for the next 6 months. But then I'll have a vacation with my wife. Maybe a road trip. And this beautiful gem here, this is the first song I'm gonna play in the car as soon as we're out of town. I'm so fucking looking forward to this

I've been following this band since 2013, nearly 10 years, and I'm happy to see them still around and making unique and wonderful music. The Jacket might just be their best album yet and I thought that they couldn't top Plum and hell that one just launched 2 years ago.

Been nearly 10 years for me, enjoy the ride as you listen more to them. Their first album was a bit rough, but Harsh Realm and In The Pines were fantastic. I'd say their third album, All Yours, was their best overall and yet they didn't like the vibe of it and went back to their origins. Plum, their previous album from 2020, has loads of incredible songs. Money, Breadwinner, The Good Ones, etc
