I think it's Jochem. Last episode was called (translation): "Become Wiser" and Jochem said something to that effect twice in that episode. This episode was called (translation) "Blinded" or "Dazzled" and Imanuelle went home because she was set on the wrong mole and blinded by her partner Jochem. Thought it funny that even after being eliminated she STILL thinks she was right, and just must have tested too slowly... She's been blinded. The only mole I've guessed right was Susan (S14) who I picked first episode, (and Kesi from the latest US version who was obvious to me the whole time). Literally every other time I've been wrong all the way to the end. Still keep coming back. Love this show and thanks for your captioning!

If it turns out that the mole is who I think it is now, I have to say that i will be a little disappointed. But I don't want to jump to any conclusions, there are still a few episodes left. I really liked this episode. I loved the "ether discipline" references during the first assignment. And the music was definitely on point this week- I actually laughed out loud during the balloon shooting assignment :)

Thank you! . . . . . . . Some very nice challenges this episode in terms of potential sabotage and trickery; the bait and switch for the balloon shooting task was just great! Though now with Immanuelle gone, I have to say I think Jochem or Thomas have to be the Mole. I kind of hope it's not either of them though since both have had very, very obvious Mole-ish moments (Thomas was just too blatantly sabotaging this episode) and that it really is Diederik, but considering Immanuelle's fate... Probably not likely.

Spoiler The person that went home had Diederik as their suspect based on their quiz question answer. I think the next player to be eliminated is Jochem given he completely suspects Diederik as the mole and he probably survived because of his joker. Edit: I still believe Sanne is the mole also amazing job on the subtitles I wouldn't be able to watch this amazing show without your hard word and dedication.

rbrucerye BIG SPOILER . . . . . . . In Episode 8 that broadcasted yesterday there is an assignment where someone has a chance to get an exemption for the finale, soo with this in thought it could be still everybodies game. Even though Jochem is on Diederik, Diederik and Thomas are on Sanne and Sanne is suspecting Jochem, if one has that exemption it could turn around the game especially if Sanne or Jochem gets the exemption.

As candidate, why would you even think about giving the joker back? At this point in the game I'd use it right away! One of the other reasons Thomas is my mole. And he's not always talking so much about the ones he suspects, he only tells about 1. Which he doesn't have to tell about if he is the mole himself of course

SPOILERS . . . . . . . . . The two most suspected person for me was Imanuelle and Thomas, but now that Imanuelle has gone I think Thomas is the mole. On the balloon challenge it only makes sense for the mole to be on the car because a) you can't really sabotage on the balloon and b) the mole is always on the ground. And, on the horse riding challenge Thomas seemed to try to be as quick as possible during the "test ride" and therefore can't be on time during the actual assignment. I think it's pretty obvious that on the test ride it's better to be slow since Art pretty much said that faster is better and we know we shouldn't trust him hehe (forgive me Art if you're reading this ;)). Also, I love the references to ether discipline on the first challenge!

SPOILERS . . . . Wow! Ima had been my mole for a few episodes - looks like I'm still awful at working out who the mole is haha! I don't think it's Sanne or even Jochem now, even though he acts very suspiciously from time to time. The ether-discipline task has made me really suspect Diederik. It looked like he was taking advantage of how easy it was to break down the communication chain. However, the hot air balloon task made me suspect Thomas too because of his dilly-dallying on the phone, not being fast and clear with the address, plus may have known to ride the horse really quickly in the last task to ensure that he couldn't shoot the balloons in time. Can't wait for the finale! TL;DR: Thomas or Diederik, I reckon! P.S. Thank you Marieke for continuing your fantastic work!

niomigrace I do think if you adjust 'follow the money' to this season Diederik did gain a lot of the money. Most of the assignments he didn't miss up, but tried to help. I think he was truely unlucky in ether-discipline game, he just didn't get the answers to his questions, because he has to continualy give answers and get almost nothing, but yeah nothing seems what it is, so your theory is still valid.

Another great episode, though I liked last episode's challenges a bit more. I love how the Westworld soundtrack was used so much this episode. SPOILER I really think it has to be Thomas at this point. I think this season may be gearing up to be one where only one person, Sanne, figures out who the mole is. I think if Diedrik goes home before Jochem though, Jochem may switch his mole to Thomas in the finale. Either way, Thomas has gone undetected for most of the season. I wasn't sure what Thomas's motivation for stealing the joker would be except that now Jochem will think of him even more as a fanatical player instead of the mole. Really great season so far.

Thank you for the subs!!! :) Thomas is on my mole list from the beginning and since the auction he is my numbe one suspect. After this episode he still remains as my Mole. What I find interesting is the fact that no one is voting for him. Only Sanne puts 2/3 questions Thomas's way. hmmmmmmm. At this moment if it's not Thomas then it's Jochem. I don't see Sanne being the mole. My ideal final would be Sanne, Jochem, Thomas. Thomas Mole and I don't care who wins because I like them both the most.

I still think Sanne is the mole, but I guess it's possible Thomas could be too. But Sanne hasn't really brought in much money (she's only ever brought in small amounts and then worked to spend most of it at the auction), and I feel like this episode she decided to just not mole since the pot is REALLY low.

The other main reason why I don't think it's Thomas is that in the auction challenge when they had to say how much 3 jokers were worth to them, he said 2000. The mole would have said a very low amount because this meant they had less to spend on the auction without losing money. I can't imagine the mole would say as high as 2000 when no one else is watching.

Isaac Miller imagine the average bid was 10000. do you think that the contestants would stop bidding at 2500? no, because he knows he can afford to bid at least up to 11000 to get the joker. imagine the three jokers were sold for 11000, 12500 and 13500. this means the pot will still decrease with 7000. if you dont get it, think about it. first i also thought the mole should bid low, but i realised that doesnt make sense.

Thanks again Marieke! SPOILERS: * * * * * * Well, my record of being totally rubbish at finding the Mole in WIDM continues unblemished it seems! I was strongly doubting about Immanuelle last week, more so this week, and by the time it got to the elimination I was pretty sure she was gone. Which she was. (Editing did give it away a lot I think!) I still can't see Sanne as the Mole based on her early performance only (although it wouldn't shock me if it were her now), and if it were Diedrik (not that I ever thought it was him) then I think Immanuelle would've been safe. So for me it's down to Jochem and Thomas. I still think Jochem is the "obvious male Mole suspect" who makes it to the finale and shocks the Netherlands by not being revealed as the Mole. So by process of elimination, it's Thomas. But I wouldn't be surprised if I were wrong. One has to ask, if it IS Thomas, how did Vincent get eliminated way back in episode 1? He thought the Mole was a man who was in the helicopter. Thomas was a man in the helicopter. You'd think Vincent would stay in by sheer numbers, even if he voted for Jeroen. * Ok, some details (read: long) thoughts on this season as a whole so far... good and bad. * So this season is definitely light-years ahead of last season. I've liked the characters, although it does feel as though a lot of my favorites got eliminated early (Vincent, the blondes, Jeroen, now Imma). Sanne and Diedrik are a lot of fun still. I think the editing has improved massively (no more Direct-To-DVD quick cuts!) and the music and production values have been top-notch. Challenge-wise, it still has had more "misses" than "hits" for me, which is a bit of a shame. In the first episode there was really only one challenge for money (and poor Vincent got screwed). Episode 4 had no good challenges, episode 5 was the Oregon Trail where there was basically one challenge with any possible clues about who the Mole might be, and episodes 6 and 7 have followed suit. I thought episode 2 was excellent and episode 3 really good as well. I kinda wish that the producers would look at those two episodes and say to themselves: "No jokers, no money taken out of the pot, interesting challenges that make good use of the location and culture. We'll do more of these!" It must be really difficult to come up with new challenges after sixteen previous seasons though. So I kinda feel for them. * That said, there is no excuse for reusing the "auction" challenge. Everyone hated it in the last Australian season (its ratings tanked after the pot was emptied after something like eight hours' worth of episodes). It's blatantly unfair, it takes money out of the pot (which should never ever happen), and it makes both the contestants and viewers feel as though everything that's happened up until that point doesn't mean anything. Why even bother having those first few episodes, if everything the contestants win just gets taken away like that? It's an especially brutal kick in the teeth because Episodes 2 and 3 were probably the best of the lot so far, and episode 4 was the worst. * I think the season so far has been really summarised by the "lasso" challenge in Episode 4. You've got this massive arena you can make use of, but most of it is cordoned off. There's no audience, only one contestant is in the arena at a time (this is fairly typical of late-season WIDM, despite the fact that in early seasons you had entire teams of players dodging snipers together through massive obstacle courses), and the challenge as a whole feels so "small-scale". Kinda reminded me of Season 7 where they had this massive Thai-boxing ring, and the players ended up playing Jenga in it. * If you really want to get a sense of fun and excitement I think you have to go for "epic". And that's what I'd like to see more of. No more challenges where it's impossible to see who's done what ("rifle shooting") and no more watching people randomly sift through hay bales! Challenges I've really liked: the tunnel-hunt (which one group seeing dummies, the other group real people), this episode's balloon challenge, and most of the challenges from Episodes 2 and 3. I really liked the concept of the "Oregon Trail" thing although the actual activities the group along the way weren't that interesting. Definitely could've been executed better - WAS executed better in the UK Mole Season 2 - but I like the concept. * I think that's a fair summary of how I feel about this season, and also the direction that I'd like future seasons to take.

**************SPOILERS**************** Well, I have more questions than ever after this episode. At this point, I am about 75% sure that Thomas is the mole ( although I did have the exact same thought that you had about how Vincent got eliminated in episode 1). But, man, Jochem is SO hard to figure out! Now, knowing that Immanuelle was a genuine contestant, I just can't believe that neither she nor Jochem considered choosing a new suspect after Sanne and Thomas got green screens in episode 6. Does Jochem really think that everyone has been voting 100% for Diederik since episode 5 or 6, and that he keeps surviving because he is doing so well on the tests (despite his lack of short term memory)!? I just can't believe that he could be that naive. But either he IS that naive, or he's the mole. At this point, I REALLY hope that Jochem is the mole, because it would make for a much more satisfying outcome, in my opinion. Thomas has been my least favorite character this season. His personality is bland, to me, and I feel like he hasn't really sabotaged enough ( although, granted, it would be tough for any mole to compete with Jochem in the sabotage department). I kind of feel like any of the other contestants would have been a more interesting mole choice than Thomas, particularly someone like Immanuelle or Sigrid. I am looking forward to seeing who Jochem votes for on the next test, and whether he survives the execution (assuming he isn't the mole). Who would've thought that a lie about baby beavers would take out 1/3 of the contestants and all but assure Diederik a place in the finale? Lol! Of course now that I've said that, Diederik is the mole and Jochem is going to win ;)

ardendweller3791 im almost sure thomas is the mole and if he is, he is definitely one of the moles ever. episode 1 he had no mole actions of course. in ep. 2 he wasted a lot of time during the paper mill contest. in episode 3 in the dunes, im pretty sure he threw away a half a 1000 note, so the total amount of money was decreased by 1000. in episode 4 he bid at least ten times but stays undetected. in episode 5, he couldnt do much. in episode 6 he walks past a woman with a 750 button. in this episide he earned nothing in the balloon shooting contest. what makes him a good mole imo is that he really acts like a contestant, in general of course. he stole jochems joker, so jochem thinks he is a contestant. very few contestant suspect him because he isnt a typical mole. but he has quite a lot of mole actions, but they are very sneaky. so my prediction is that jochem will leave the following episode, diederik is the looser and sanne the winner

I’m completely confused as to who the Mole is. If I were going on the contestants’ suspicions, I’d say Sanne. If I were going on total money lost, I’d say Jochem. If I were going on deceptiveness, I’d say Thomas. And if I were going on the “the producers want to tread new ground” theory, I’d say Diedrik!

Spoiler . . . . . . Wow, I was right about Imma. Last episode I said that she would be in final and lose or would go this episode and she did go home. At this moment, I'm pretty sure that Jochem is the mole. Firstly, all three of Sanne, Diederick and Thomas had him as one of their two moles. Secondly, his only ally, who did not suspect him, went home. Thirdly, he went full or nearly full on Diederick, who I'm sure is not the mole. They threw some suspicious things on Thomas but well, it's too late. Thomas is not the mole. I have Sanne is the top of my moles for a long time but well, she did nothing as the mole for some episodes. I think she will be the winner. Diederick is the loser. Jochem is the mole. Thomas goes next. Let's see.

Everyone seems to think Thomas is the Mole, but he can't be, since Vincent voted for Thomas in the first episode and was eliminated. Surely if Thomas were the Mole, Vincent would've got one or two more questions correct than the people who didn't vote for Thomas. I'm still betting on Jochem. It might be "tunnel vision" on my part (because he's been my suspect for over a month), but he seems to be bringing the least amount of money to the pot. He lost his book on a book-themed episode, sabotaged the poster challenge (when no one else had any trouble with it), kept almost no info in his journal, switched Mole suspects at least three times, bungled the courtroom challenge … either he's an exceptional contestant or he's the Mole.

modzel Exactly, which is why I suspect that Jochem is the Mole. People voted for Vincent and stayed in the game, but he wasn't the Mole, so they were wrong. But because Vincent was eliminated, he must have been more wrong than they were. If he voted for Sanne, Diederik, and Thomas, as he claims he did, there are only three possibilities: (1) he got every question about the Mole wrong, (2) he lied or completely changed his mind about who he voted for, or (3) Jochem is the Mole. I personally think the third option is the most likely.

Katy Megan Thomas isn't the Mole. Remember in the first episode when there were 9 suspects and Vincent chose Thomas and was eliminated? I realise Vincent chose other people too, but you'd think he'd get at least one or two more questions right than someone else who didn't suspect Thomas. I'm virtually certain it's not Thomas. I'm still thinking Jochem.

Nathan Van Beek As I understand it, Roos and Sigrid were in alliances with Jochem, and he was able to convince them he wasn't the Mole, which is why they were eliminated and Sanne suspected him. But maybe I'm wrong.

Roos wasnt an allianceof jochem and sigrid said during her last confession (episode 4) that she was really confused about the following: jochem bid way more than diederik to get the joker because jochem wanted to be suspicious. Sigrid cant say she is going all-in on jochem, because that will convince the viewers that jochem is not the mole. She got eliminated for a reason. Btw. I just noticed jeroen also voted for jochem, though he did it partly. But other contestants didnt suspect jochem at all, eg. Immanuelle.
