I feel bad for male abuse victims Edit: I’m not down playing the abuse for female victims but male victims aren’t really talked about and some of the time don’t get the help they need. (Read replies for more.)

Society usually does not believe in men being an abuse victim because they stereotype men to be strong and because of that society doesn't accept male abuse victims.

Society says men can’t be victims of of any form of abuse for some reason and they have to just suck it up

And that I hope goes the same for women victims?
@saraashley4645 ай бұрын
@@Elentay-bc9rh society already talks about female abuse victims. At least let this one time not be about them. Women pretty much get away with a lot of things while men have to just suck it up because they’re “imagining it”

@@Elentay-bc9rhI’m pretty sure they do. but for a male abuse victim it’s harder because ppl don’t take it seriously or don’t believe it unlike a female where everyone would be at their side no matter if it’s true or not.

@@notlisztening9821Well, maybe once upon a time he was, but it seems he successfully transformed and there’s no shame in that. Not everyone is a super uber confident, and some people (regardless of gender) are more susceptible to abuse than others just because of their personalities. Let’s not shame men for being able to be abused. All humans have the potential for abuse be other humans.

@@christophernoble76I also cannot trust men because of in my life almost every other man I have know has cheated on their wife; however, we’re not completely right because we are probably missing out on finding a good person just because we’re afraid to open up and meeting people. Karma is just one of those pretty little lies we tell ourselves to get through the day. There is no supernatural force that guarantees these horrible people will get the justice they deserve. It’s up to us to make our own justice.
@belooga-bj3pwАй бұрын
@@RepellentJeff If I'm not mistaken, karma originally comes from India and refers just to the law of cause and effect, where actions create consequences. In this case, if she cheated and was okay with behavior that destroys relationships, == putting herself in that position where she's going to face the consequences of it. This might include a lack of genuine relationships or backlash from fake ones. (people get mad/sad/revenge/scamming back etc) It's simply intentions -> actions -> consequences. It's not about "bad stuff happens to bad people." But about "people do stuff, and it leads to results". That's it. They do stuff, you do stuff, affecting each others lifes

100%. If I ever get to the point where I feel that a partner is cheating on me, and I intend on confronting my partner about it, I am putting up cameras everywhere in the house first, save for in the bathrooms. And I will be wearing a recorder too. I would probably not wear a camera, that's too obvious, but at least an audio recorder in my pocket. I do not trust the legal/court system to protect me or treat me fairly in a word against word situation, so recordings are essential.

I just cant bring myself listen to stories when the victim has given multiple chances to the cheater. Once she cheats throw her like garbage, coz thats what she is. Dont be an idiot and give her a chance, then another chance when she meets him again, and then another when you caught her having a secret phone and so on. At this point youre begging to be cheated on.

Seems like he has female abandonment issues, maybe because his mom and dad divorced when he was super young. Pure conjecture of course, but since he only mentions his mom one single time in this whole story whereas he mentions his dad over and over again I'm guessing his mom wasn't really an active part of his life. If so then that could be why he put up with his wife's cheating and alcoholism and truly evil behavior for so long. He was probably terrified her leaving and not being part of his life, just like his mom wasn't, regardless of it was his or her decision to leave. So... he just put up with it. Bottled it up, suppressed and ignored everything within him that told him this is wrong, you have to get out. Regardless of if my speculation is true or not I am glad he finally got the strength to get out from that toxic mess. I wouldn't have been as amicable and lovey-dovey in the end as he was, I am more of a gray rock type person, but he had to do it his way. Whatever works for him!
