The director said in grief we take on traits of those who passed on. In sindris case he took on traits of brok. The swearing, using broks hammer, working without gloves, he is filthy covered in broks blood. He is currently broken and he is most angry at himself too. Because of his choice to revive brok incomplete, he may never reunite with his brother.

Also when you first meet him as a reference to how Odin hung himself for nine days. Also in the cell it’s a little hard to see but I think there are raven feathers there. Also, when the imposter tyr encounters Freya, he calls her Frigg. Little hints like these sprinkled throughout the entire game from the music to subtle interactions.

The minor pause from Kratos when Atreus says maybe vengeance is all that we have left has subtle callbacks to Pandora telling him that Hope remains and that it's never gone. He probably wanted to correct Atreus but he has not seen or had much Hope. Outside of this stay in Midgard with Faye.

Kratos has been holding back since God of War 2018. He is constantly trying to curb his "rage" because it's how he lost his family and how he destroyed Greece. He tells atreus he can get lost in his anger because it's happened to him. I believe Spartan rage is the curse he referred to in GOW 2018. Thor was never a threat to Kratos. He is the grim reaper for Gods. The subtle horror music that plays when hes on screen and everyone constantly referring to him as a monster.

Not to mention, that for most of the fight he was holding back even thor states this, saying stop holding back you are disrespecting my family. At the same time kratos was worried the whole time for Atreus seeing that it's the first thing he says once the fight was over. On the other hand kratos didn't want to tap into his rage fearing that he might lose it in this case because of Atreus being with Odin. Then you see what one single punch of serious kratos can do to Thor.

If you listen closely after Atreus says "I thought we were his family too." You can hear Sindri in the background choking up. He really did consider them his family, but his grief wouldn't let him accept it.

This final chapter of the game had the most stuff end up on the cutting room floor. It's pretty easy to guess what it was in general terms, the recruiting of the realms would have included their own story missions. There was also a subplot about being more manipulative in convincing surtr to help but since that came from a preproduction script it may have been scrapped a long time ago. There isn't a whole lot of evidence but part of me thinks that originally there was going to be a good ending and a bad ending depending on how you prepared for Ragnarok.

Thor only won the first fight becuase Thor stopped fighting Kratos was still trying to stay out of things. As soon at Kratos got serious he stopped and left, unlike Bauler who he beat and broke his neck and Heimdall who thought he was better than the guy knowns as the god of war, who by that time he had to know was also the ghost of sparta meaning he had killed an entire pantheon over his child.

Sindri was helping Atreus find Tyr before anyone else even knew that’s what he was up to. While I get that his brother is a huge loss, especially for a 2nd time. I think he should be a little more understanding being that he was assisting Atreus go down this path even before Kratos.

Regarding Kratos v Thor in the beginning: remember he only fought Thor with his Axe, no blades or spear. And in-game wise, the magical abilities/powers Kratos acquired were weakened because of Fimbulwinter while Asgars, and subsequently Thor, wasnt. Kratos has been rebuilding his arsenal over the game to make the fight much more fair

At this point in the game Kratos is not convinced he will change the prophecy he still has his same stand point. Im paraphrasing but it was when Atreus said something along the lines that they do there actions becasue they have to not because of prophecy. Even though they are following the prophecy there goal is the result regardless if it means following the prophecy or not. Side note Thor definitely beat Kratos ass in the beginning lol its just Kratos held back because he didnt want to fight and Baldur was the first God Kratos had killed in over a millennium. He didnt want to go back to his old self which is why Thor kept goating him to not hold anything back.

Things definitely got serious these last couple parts! Not sure if you'll split the finale up into a couple parts or not (hopefully not and we get a long finale👀🤞🏾) but I can't wait! Thor was definitely a match for Kratos, but Kratos was still doing very well against him too imo, especially considering he held back. I think we just haven't seen many people equally match Kratos and it makes it look like he got whooped. In fact, if you go back and closely watch the fight, I'd argue that kratos was slightly stronger than thor. So I wouldn't necessarily say Thor wiped the floor with Kratos or that Kratos couldn't beat him. I think he just underestimated Thor and his love for the fight a lil too much, which is why he slipped up a couple times. Thor is a VERY powerful and VERY competent fighter tho, and he's not like his brother baldur who was just reckless or his sons who were just stupid and not as skilled. Round 2 is gonna be epic tho!

Surtr the Primordial Fire Giant, the first fire Giant, one of the few first giants that were created by Ymir's horn Ymir blows that stap out of Giants, Lord and Grundian of Muspelheim, he is fire itself, one of the destroyers of Ragnarök (Or Ragnarök self). The Spark of the World is the birthplace of all of Creation where Ymir came to be. Atreus asked Surtr about the beginning of everything that Surtr had been, and Surtr said "yeah" to Atreus and said it was "loud".

Throughout the sled ride, getting to Sindri when Mimir said that there was nothing to bring back because brok was missing his "Direction" soul piece, I almost cried. That just sucked because you're not just dead, you're denied and afterlife. Finally, finding Sindri at his workshop just making weapons was heartbreaking, all I heard was the words of a broken man. Plus, I think Sindri's anger is a little misplaced 'cause like Kratos said everyone didn't know that Odin was playing as Týr, cause this happened because Sindri couldn't let go. Throughout that whole conversation at 6:58-9:17, I was trying to hold it back my emotions because there was nothing you can do, brok is just gone for good, and there was no making it right, I was pissed off at everything, and I just wanted to take my anger out on something and when Atreus suggested they do some side-missions, I said "That's a good idea" and I forgot that there's a berserker gravestone in Midgard, when I found it, I UNLEASHED my anger on the Berserker and I did not give her any chance to breathe, and when I first attempt the berserker I really had to take a break from the game cause,.........it was a bad day for it to rain. When seeing Surtr for the first time he's not exactly what you're expecting, and the way Surtr just flings you back with the flick of his wrist at 21:17 was crazy, he didn't even say in a hostile manner, but humble and calm. Surtr's whole rebuttal to atreus is funny. "Have you ever been in love before?" Getting to and showing my sister the Spark of the world, my sister said that "This would be a place where God and Satan will battle", stabbing Surtr with the Blades inbeud with the sparks fire when he started laughing at 30:21 I was like "Why are you enjoying this?" Kratos and Atreus vs Hirist and Mist Winner: Man, I got flashbacks of the other Valkyrie's. I had to pause the game to breathe because it was bad but my sister saying, "Stop being a bitch you took out Freya's Stand-in queen Sigrun how bad could they be?" And that whole health regeneration thing adding anxiety and stress, but at 31:37 the finishing was crazy. And the shot right here at 32:16 is epic. P.S at 35:14 Kratos talks a little bit indirectly about his great grandmother Gaia who is a Titan. After all that, I decided to finish all the side quests that could reach before the big fight. Atreus optimism gives me anxiety because it's like "Atreus, what makes you think everyone will unite against Odin?" Atreus: They have to, after everything they've been through, they have to.

That's the main reason I dislike Atreus. You guys are absolutely right. Atreus is always so overly excited and eager to jump into whatever battle or action, regardless of the price to be paid, which in most case, everyone other than Atreus is paying the greater price. Sindri was absolutely spot on when he mentions how all Atreus ever does is take. Even after that difficult conversation with Sindri, who has lost everything because of Atreus' actions, Atreus is more than ready to sacrifice Surtr and Sinmara's lives all for the sake of prophecy which Atreus blindly follows.

Kratos was giving Atreus a compliment when he said the reason he didn't beat Thor in their first fight but it was mostly to boost his confidence for the upcoming battle. The real reason Kratos didn't kill Thor in the first fight is because he was holding back. He didn't want to kill Odin's son while Odin was with Atreus and Kratos couldn't protect him.

Well he does have every rights to hate Atreus. He believed in Atreus and trusted and helped him when he was learning about the murals had secret doors. He was stupid enough to believe in the destiny's and fate the Giants had planned for him. The Giants destined that he would find (fake) Tyr which Atreus fell for so easily but when they destined his father would die then all of a sudden he doesn't believe in destiny's and thus why he wants to go to Asgard and changed everything. His action alone costed him his friendship with Sindri, got Brok killed and nearly drove a wedge between him and his dad
