Күн бұрын

Kelly has eaten nothing but cheesy potatoes for 30 years. She's revolted by other foods, and her husband worries she's destroying her health. Can the Freaky Eater specialists turn Kelly around before it's too late?
Freaky Eaters documents the intense struggles of those with a dangerous compulsion towards a particular food. With the help of two experts, the Freaky Eater confronts the painful truth behind their food obsession and fights to reclaim control of their diet and combat the destructive side effects their behaviour is having on their health. Patients include a girl who drinks more than 30 cans of cola a day, a 29-year-old mother who only eats French fries and a diabetic who has a life-threatening addiction to cheeseburger. Can they overcome their dependencies and learn how to manage their diets?

I honestly went into this video a while back expecting something super funny but as I watched I actually felt really bad for her. There was so much more to it rather than just "Cheese fries good". It really shows that with eating disorders there is way more to it than just the big ones that get attention. She probably had the best attitude on the show too! What they should have done is gone to a school, payed to use the oven, baked the potatoes, put the cheese on them and had the couple and therapists go to a homeless area and pass them out. Many mental disorders are caused by excessive self focus. Even if that was caused by something else. Get your mind off yourself.

Potatoes are high in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber and resistant starch. However, fried potatoes may also come with some potential negative effects, including weight gain, especially when consumed in large amounts.👍

They aren't high in vitamins and the starch turns into sugar , no heme iron, no protein, no DHA, no vitamins A,B6,B12,K2 ,D3 which all these vitamins only come from animal foods. She is extremely malnourished and will die a very early death without these vitamins.

Best one on this series. She was aware of her problems and wanted to stop it but didn’t have the right push. I’m surprised it wasn’t caught that this lady may have a sensory processing issue as this stems from even her childhood. This is a sensory food aversion that’s typical happens when the brain is unable to process other textures as it’s overwhelming. It’s not her fault as her brain is already functioning at her ceiling.
