She coveted her best friend man so obviously that her friend noticed, what was worse is that she made herself a sympathetic ear for her man so he ran to her to vent about how horrible she was every time they had a fight, feeding the 'friends' certainty that *they* were a better fit. Now that the FL knows that it's an emotional affair she's washed her hands of the two-faced duo and now the 'friend' will no doubt continue to be 'sympathetic' until she completely takes over the original womans place and everyone will assume they're together and tell him how great she is for him, and he wont even remember when he asked her out. Then alcohol will get involved at some point and he'll 'somehow' wake up in bed next to her, possibly even getting caught in the process and he'll have to 'take responsibility' at which point, if he has half a brain, he'll realise that his ex was right all along and the friend is much more manipulative than simple and he was her target from the start.

Well, there goes the plot for the rest of the drama! Seriously, though, that is a train wreck that's coming up. If I were the cheated ex-girlfriend, I'd sit back with my actual good friends, with a bowl of popcorn and a soda, and watch that hot mess like a 4th of July fireworks event.
