From Omni-Man's reactions, he always had a part of him that wanted to be the altruistic hero, but he was brought up and brainwashed as a Viltrumite Soldier. His time on Earth allowed him to bring that heroic part of himself out, but he was unable to hold that charade up forever. He was hoping to do things the "nice" way and wound up doing more damage than he expected. Most of the time, the other Viltrumites just appear at a planet and start causing chaos until they give up by the looks of it. When Nolan was about to unalive himself in the black hole and decided to save the Thraxan ship, he did so altruistically. He was about to just fly off to continue his unalive plans, but the Thraxans asked him to stay... and he considered it because he liked the way it made him feel... wanted, appreciated, needed. He got a dose of that on Earth, but the events on Earth really brought it home to him what he really was inside and that he did not really want to do the Viltrumites' bidding anymore. What a lot of people do not understand about alien species is that they are just that, alien. Imagine being capable of living for thousands of years watching every person of another shorter lived race die off.. the ones you got to know and care about, or love, just gone before you even have a chance to really get to know them. Think of it from our perspective as humans that bring dogs, cats, budgies, etc. all kinds of shorter lived creatures into our homes and care for them, even love them as part of our families, but we call them pets because they will not live as long as we do. We do that to hold part of our emotions in check so that we will not end up complete blubbering wrecks every time our dog dies. Nolan should have never called his wife a pet, but from an alien perspective, or even a human one, his reactions are understandable to some degree. Now he is at war with his worst enemy, himself.

We’ll mark still cares for his dad. He called him dad all throughout the episode and you could see he was worried when Lucan came back and broke his back. And it’s good he brought mark there. If they came to earth mark wouldn’t have been ready. And one thing I think she doesn’t get is that Omni man isn’t human. So I get she wants him to go apologize to Debbie and stuff but that’s not normal to him.

I think that the point of Nolan trying to desperately convince his son to help , is to portray that Nolan genuinely cares about his people (The Thraxans). Mark is the only one he knows that could stand somewhat of a chance against a Viltrumite invasion and also the only one that Mark could ever think of relying on when it comes to desperate measures. It seems more to me that he uses manipulative tactics because he desperately wants his people, his wife and his infant-son safe. He doesn't want Mark to help *him*, but to help the innocent Thraxans. That's WILD for a Viltrumite. You can even see that Nolan still has second thoughts about his Viltrumite past. When Lucan says that Nolan deserves death, he responds with "I know". Keep in mind that Nolan has conquered hundreds, maybe even thousands of planets for the sake of Viltrum, so to have him be compassionate like that is crazy.

I do kinda feel for Nolan😅 He did wrong by Debbie, but now Mark has been handed the same deal🤷‍♂️ Nolan was supposed to be the planet's hero and convince them to submit to Viltrum, or else the whole race was set to be destroyed, and he fell for a race that only lives for a fraction of his lifetime (hence the inappropriate pet reference..) but I think Mark now seeing the grasshopper people who only live for a year, is able to start to understand to some degree. But Nolan definitely is trying to fight the urge to care for people and be the ruthless killer, but that "humanity" (the same humanity that keeps Mark from killing) is making him care and its confusing to him. It's why he didnt kill Mark, why he wanted to end his life in that black hole, and it's why he choked Mark and was frustrated. I think Mark needs to help Nolan embrace that side, and Nolan needs to help Mark embrace his true potential as well. But no matter what happens, there is NO way Nolan will ever be welcomed back on Earth😅(but a visit and a chat with Debbie is definitely deserved) Great reaction as always! 🙌

It's such a great parallel to see Nolan genuinely care about the Thraxans considering they have a lifespan of a single year. Remember how Nolan's argument towards killing humanity was "Now or in fifty years, what difference does it make?" He thought of them like fragile insects that didn't matter. Yet here he is caring about a species that fit those descriptions perfectly

Omni mans character is the best imo. We try to put our human ways on him even though he doesn't know simple things like "im sorry" or "i feel this way because". for 1000 years he was raised to not care and to almost kill himself over 20 years on earth is a plus in the right direction believe it or not 😂

I dont know why the show is acting like earth isnt in danger and only omni man and his new planet are. They clearly wanted earth. Theyll just send people to earth after they deal with nolan. If mark cared about anyone on earth, he wouldve been more eager to work together with his father. His father wasnt the only viltruminite... theres a whole empire of these guys. And his dad wasnt the one calling the shots. A single traitor can be far more valuable to a war effort then an entire army.
