These guys are among the original glam rockers . Guys like David bowie, Queen , Kiss (To name a few) and most of the hair bands in the eighties were influenced by them . They had such a wide range and were so innovative for their time . I think they were one of the best in the seventies and so under rated

Lots of metal heads love The Sweet. They had that attitude and energy, and when they were given the ability to write and play and sing their own stuff, they did it so well. Then, they were so versatile with the different styles of music they offered.
@angharaddenby3389 Жыл бұрын
Almost ALL of their hits were NOT written by the band but by song-writing team Nicki Chinn and Mike Chapman - and for their first 5 singles, they had to rely on session musicians because they could not play their instruments themselves.
@lokismig11 ай бұрын
That was in the beginning but after that they continued having hits, like this song, and playing their own instruments. In their hard rock stage, around 1974, they had already gotten rid of almost everything from their first songs, and oriented themselves more towards albums than songs, despite this they still continued to have hit songs and some of their best themes.@@angharaddenby3389

It’s a great song, but I prefer them when they were more hard rocking and metal sounding. Very versatile band. This is their last hit and they moved into a much more pop/prog direction. Try ballroom blitz or hellraisrr or set me free for examples of them where they are much harder and rocking. Try fox on the run for a perfect power pop song

So this band did a song called Ballroom Blitz, and a band named Krokus did an awesome cover. So the first few notes of Screaming in the Night by Krokus I could hear after that other song ended.. another good song by them
