as i know 5ghz band range is less then 2.5 ghz band... so if you want high range use 2.5ghz band and if you need fast speed use 5 Ghz band... and if range is all you need with speed then use 2.5 ghz single band router with higher speed ..

Hi Ranjit, Thanks to posting this video. It really helps me to find out best wifi router and gives us good knowledge about their actual performance. I would like to share my experience and want your opinion. Earlier I was using broadband using normal telephone link and I used TP-Link TD-W8151N 150Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router which was really good for me and still it performs good. Now I've upgraded my internet with fiber. So I'm looking for a Wifi router which have inbuild modem for fiber connection. Can you tell us whats are the available options in the online store. It would be better if you provide best Modem also for Fiber connection. I'm using BSNL fiber connection. Thanks Devendra

N and AC are just names. They changed the names right now to WiFi 4,5,6 to simplify. N is WiFi 4 AC is WiFi 5 The new one will be called WiFi 6

N300 & N150 means wireless N technology. wireless AC has higher throughput than N and use 5ghz band. N300 mean a router can support upto 300mbps of speed, not link speed. 300 mbps can be achived using combining two 2.4 ghz channel. one channel can support only upto 144mbps( thats rounded to 150 as N150). so if N150 is used then practical link speed is 72mbps and actual data transfer speed is upto 4 to 5 mbps. remember router antenna (mimo) also counts in increased speed. one antenna capable of 1 data stream only. so 2 can make 144x2= approx 300 and it must be in HT40hz. most N router are only 20hz, 20&40hz (auto).

I am not noticing any problem. Only issue is the startup time. (ABT 1:00 min) Earlier I had D Link 1 antinna modem, but it was struck by lightning. So I opted for TP Link and let's see its performance...

Gokul Manohar i've been using it for 4 years now.i've replaced it 2 times during warranty period all due to lightning other than that i ve never had any problem with it . switch off the router during any minor lightning's so you dont have to worry about replacing .its great product and VFM .if you bought it through any ecom sites just make sure to keep the bill. only problem with it is you cant just go to your nearest dealer and replace it .They wouldn't replace it if you bought through ecom sites so you would have to courier it to its main dealers in pune .

Gokul Manohar then it's all good you wouldn't have to worry about couriering it if you run in to any problem the service centre or your retailer would replace it .i bought it through flipkart so the nearest dealer denied me warranty so i had it replaced from the main dealers in pune. Its a good product make sure not to use it during any minor lightning's.

Mbps means mega" bit" sir and our downloading speed is measures as MBps mega" byte".so 40mbps is divided by 8 then its real speed is 5MBps.because 1byte =8bit

Get it you want to show the audience that you have the latest and greatest. When did a techie start getting vain? $250 WiFi router, Rs. 20k for a router. First 5 mins were decent and then it became a rant with the same thing being said over and over again. Next time script it. Read it out if you will. Small short informative will get you the same views. And will save people time waiting for you to say something new.

Hi, Geekyranjit, Your video was quite helpful. I am thinking of buying TP-Link C60 AC1350 Wireless Dual Band Router, but it is available for 2500 to 3000 rupees. Can you please tell me if it is worth it? Also, if you have any cheaper alternates for it,please let me know, any router with at least 2 5ghz antennas. Me and my sister use the WiFi and we both have ac supporting Ethernet card, and we have 6 mbps of internet connection, so what will be appropriate choice of router? Right now the router that I am using is hanging a lot that causes disruption in connection frequently,and supports only b,n and g. Thanks!

Almost all of these routers are for home use. I have still not figured out what people achieve by connecting to the router at that speed when your internet is about 10 mbps. Its quite stupid to talk about high speeds when your internet is throttled. What do you do by connecting at 600 Mbps to the router. :) if the internet you have 10 mbps. Such a waste of time seeing this video

I own a Asus router with a HDD attached to it.. it's great to share across devices.. however if you plan to use it for downloading stuff using torrent be prepared for one click virus on ur network... had a real bad experience with it... only thing I could do was to flash the router and the formatting the HDD...

Speed reduces with signal strength, means if you are far from router, u won't get full speed of your internet connection speed, if you are near to router, you will get full speed. if you are too far from the wifi router, better to connect with LAN cable for your PC or laptop if it is possible.
