i've used the shimmer lights purple shampoo on my synthetic wigs and it doesnt do much but i have noticed it brings back some nice shine to a old dull wig so if its dull and shity looking it helps bring it back to life with a natural looking shine
@WigginOutBZ7 жыл бұрын
Good to know it brought some shine back! The shimmer lights won't effect the color of the synthetic hair since the color cannot be absorbed like human hair.

another cleansing product i like for my syntetic wigs is the pantene 2 in 1 classic clean now for human hair i will never touch it with. cuz of the wax products in the shampoo but the wax helps with the shine of a synthetic wig so hey pantene is good for something lol

Hey - Bobby - Loved your advice for reviving dull, dry human hair wigs! Used the Hydrating Macadamia Oil Shampoo and TRESemme conditioner. Worked great. My wig was soft and shinny and beautiful. However, after it was styled, it was dull and dry-looking again. Any suggestions on styling products for human hair wigs. Thanks!

Hey, great to see you back. I miss your hundred words a second video's. I was just thinking, what happened to the studio you had set up? Are you working from home again? Love, love love your video's.
@WigginOutBZ9 жыл бұрын
Paul Paintin Hi!!! I actually talked about that in the video but cut it out for time sake. I use the studio space just for orders and inventory, and I do all the custom styling and building at my apartment still. My studio doesn't have a sink in my room (just in the kitchenette area on the floor) and I don't want to wash hair color and bleach and the like in the sink area of the common area as a courtesy to my fellow office mates.

What do you recommend for a human hair unit that has been processed to be kinky curly?
@WigginOutBZ6 жыл бұрын
For any human hair wigs that are processed to be kinky curly I would suggest starting with any super moisturizing shampoo and conditioning mask, with a LOC (leave-in, oil, cream) for product afterwards. As much as I love devacurl products on naturally curly hair, I've found that it can wreck havoc on permed human hair wigs and dry them out.

Hi, Bobby, I was wondering if you could help me out. I want to learn how to make men's hair replacement pieces on lace, but have no experience whatsoever on wig-making or anything like that. I assume I should learn how to do the knots first and for that I could use synthetic hair. Do you have any tips for me? Are there specific knots that I need to know how to make or it's just one type of knot? Any tip would help. Thanks a lot.
@WigginOutBZ7 жыл бұрын
I find that it's actually easier to learn to tie with human hair, even though synthetic hair actually ties more smoothly. The human hair is better to judge your tension with.

Do you ever use fabric softener as conditioner on synthetic? I have seen this on other videos but haven't tried it yet.
@WigginOutBZ7 жыл бұрын
I've never soaked synthetic hair in fabric softener, but I worked on "sleeping beauty" at ABT and they used diluted fabric softener in a spray bottle on the synthetics and it was nice.
@glennlaroche15246 жыл бұрын
Dont know if you'll ever see this but one of the fiercest queens I ever knew was a hairstylist irl and swore by two products -- Murphy's Oil Soap to wash(yup the stuff u use on hardwood floors) and fabric softener to condition--of course this was on 'plastic hair' as she called it, and her wigs were amaaayyyyyzing. (I should maybe also mention this was a back-in-th-day thing before lace-fronts and human-hair wigs were a mouse-click away)

When you say color treated do you mean like if the hair is dyed pink,greeen,blue, red etc?

Isn’t silicon bad for hair?
@WigginOutBZ4 жыл бұрын
Yes and no? It can build up on your hair, but if you use a clarifying shampoo every so often it will remove the build up. I don't use silicon on my own hair anymore, but I find that some human hair wigs really really need silicone products to help keep them from tangling.
@Jenniferx-su6pw4 жыл бұрын
WigginOutBZ I see.. thank you . Would Moroccan oil treatment work for deep conditioning? The silicon mix you show I want to use but I don’t want to use it if I don’t have too. The wig I have seems super nice and not dry.
