The boardwalk was excellent not sure how it would be in slimy wet weather tho. When komoot goes wrong it can go very wrong often I flick to the OS map to check where I'm headed to , theres a few of my vids where I'm heard arguing with the nice komoot lady and refusing to do what she's telling me to do 🙂

Thanks for your reply pal, I wasn’t sure if that boardwalk was a footpath or a right of way when first saw it but it was fun to ride, can’t comment on the condition of it in the wet as I’m not planning on a return, this was one of the Komoot cock ups, your not wrong mate, I’ve argued with mine too so I can relate to that entirely, I don’t just rely on Komoot, I have Garmin too, mind you that wasn’t much help either on this ride either 🤣🤣

I took a guy out with me last year and one part of it had a similar little section of bridge/ platform , I have ridden it many times but it was wet and a bit green , my mate set off and was on his arse before the full bike was on the boards , if i had been first it would have been me on the deck I'm sure, we managed to stop a lady approaching it from the other direction and she said like me she had never had a problem before, but walked it carefully @@yorkneytrailrider1751

Do you come across signage saying private no access etc when it is actually a right of way , theres a few places up here i've foud so far that have those basically illegal signs to put folk off @@yorkneytrailrider1751

I thought that guy at the end of the wooden walkway was going to have something to say about “bloody bikes”! What is the bike you ride by the way? My e-bike is a Vitus e-sommet which is lovely to ride if a little heavy, when I get on my hardtail that feels light as a feather after riding the Vitus!

Thanks buddy, I thought he was going to say something too, I just got a daggers look and carried on, not sure if it was a footpath or a right of way but I’ve walker’s winge at me on a bridleway, most of the time I just ignore them, if they have a go I’ll try to reason with them, failing that I tell where to go and ride away 😉 It’s a Whyte e150rs, in it’s 4th year now, I don’t have another bike to compare the difference in weight but I imagine there’s a big difference 👍

lol yes F*** off Kno***ad often makes me feel better if it reaches that level otherwise I'm polite like you, it's always worse on shared paths and folk that don't know the definitive status of where you are ...this was a lovely lady that thought we were on a footpath, she qualified it by saying evrything like this where she comes from is a footpath !!!!!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWm5Yn6PZdKMatU @@yorkneytrailrider1751

Yeah I’ve also had that and I’m also very polite and always ride sensibly especially when others are around but some people are just permanently miserable!

Me too mate, when someone moves aside for me I always thank them but you are right about some of them, it has to be said that most of people i come across in the Peak District are generally very friendly, but there are exceptions now and again, I just ignore those people 👍😉
