Thanks for another great review! I own a set of the pico finish...wonderfully crafted tools. I’m blown away with the fit, precision, and function of Wiha hand tools. Last year I bought a bunch of #2 phillips screwdrivers to see (for me) which was the best one that I would go on to purchase full sets and give away all my older and mismatched screwdrivers. I bought Wiha, Wera, PB Swiss, Felo Ergonic, Felo wooden handle, Wera wooden handle, Witte Maxxpro, Channel Lock, and Klein...all at the 100mm size. After a year of using them I determined these are some really amazing tools and far more effective, efficient, and enjoyable to use than the cheaper brands I’d been using my whole life. This experiment was a lot of fun for me despite being made fun of by my wife and kids! Most of these were so good, powerful and precise, it really came down to grip preference. I ended up buying 2 full sets to hopefully be my rest of lifetime screwdrivers...the wooden Felos and the Wiha. I also went on to buy the Wiha torx and a 4 piece insulated set as well. So thanks to your channel and KC Tool for the major upgrades!!!

Did something similar, I found Wiha through buying their bits to fit my ratchet screwdriver. I couldn't believe how good they were. Started collecting their screwdrivers and now have about sixteen plus some torx. So happy to be using quality after all the years of cheap rubbish.

JS W, you are a brother from a different mother! I did almost the same thing, and I agree with your comments. In my case I bought the wooden Felo set for pleasureable projects like furninture assembly and adjusting things around my home. I went hard the other way for my working set, which is the Wiha Micro-Finish Heavy Duty set. Love them, never worry about them, and they're great even when my hands are covered with oil and heavy grease. Clean up great. For the precision set I have the Wiha "standard' set in this review which came in the green roll up case which I use. I've never had anything but satisfaciton and pleasure using them, but I'm sure the pico finish would be nice too. Finally, I also ended up with full SAE and Metric Wiha nutdriver sets with the soft finish girps. All the sets are so phenomenally better than what I've used for years, I'm a very happy camper.

JS W have you done a comparison between wera and wiha tools lile precision ones? Much difference in quality? Wiha costs more, this difference in costs shows best quality?

I like the Felo precision as well, similar to the Wiha classic...what I like about them is the shaft flexes before the Wihas do, keeps you from overtorquing the little screws because it's easy to strip them. I like mixing brands or styles so you can easily see phillips, slotted, hex, nut driver, etc buy handle. I like Wera's precision nut drivers for the length. Then go ESD Wiha or Felo for phillips, Wiha pico or classic for slotted. Etc. BTW, my canvas cases like that from Wiha and even a "knockoff" from eBay have lasted a long time. I've used a label maker to pring size markings and stick them to the caps so I can see them from the top.

I have two sets of the Wiha, one of the less expensive all red handle precision slotted and phillips, and the 8 piece slotted and phillips with the black handle/red cap. I like to have a set in multiple rooms in the house. Lots of my kids toys need small screwdrivers to change batteries. It is nice to have them handy and not need to search all over the house for them.

I've used the 3.5mm insulated Pico for some time. The tip held great, but when you need to torque something - the body is bending a little. Maybe I'll try the classic.

Some trades teach to press down the tool using a thumb, and rotate it by the other hand. Hence variants with free-wheeling ends are on the market.

I still like the old black ones with the octagon shape, It just feels like I can turn it with so much more force. The octagonal shaft where you put your fingers to turn it is ALL the difference !

I really like the Precision Wihas, I've had a Flathead and Phillips one of them for probably 15+ years now (the flathead is so old it was made in West Germany before I was even born), and they've always been my favorite screwdrivers. I can't seem to find any new ones with the magnetic tips, however, which is a real shame. Unless that's a non-advertised feature in every Wiha product. I'd love to get some more, but the magnetic tip is part of why they're so great.

I recently bought the pico finished set and I really enjoy them. I don't use the 0.8, so it stays at my desk. I'm always catching myself playing with it.

Thank you for another great review. Which precision screwdriver set you think has better screw fit & durable tip-heads, wiha, wera, or PB swiss? Please discount PB swiss comparison in case you didn't have a chance to review them.

The one thing that worries me a bit about the pico is that rubber tends to deteriorate as it ages.

While the insulated precision screwdrivers are only available with the pico finish, ESD-safe precision screwdrivers are only available in the classic finish. Interesting that they would deviate like that.

What is the Picofinish? Is it a different finish than is on the std precision screwdrivers? Is it possibly more rust resistant?

Hmm, I have the picofinish ones, a slotted+ph and a torx set, but the red endcaps are a lot smaller, similar sized to the non picofinish screwdrivers. I wonder what's up with that (I'm in Europe)

Do the Picofinish have a uniform handle size through the whole line? I like the classic Wiha handle, but the smallest of the three sizes is not really practical, imo.

Yes the handles are all the same size regardless of the driver tip size.

Does the soft finish give better grip if your hands are wet?

It's supposed to, though for more oily contaminations you'd go for a MicroFinish variant (not available for these).

I would love to please see the new pico handle with interchange bits I’m curious if the part where the bit goes in would strip out

The classic Wiha has knurls on the end that you can use with a pair of pliers for more torque - the new ones don't seem to have that. Yeah, I know, right tool for the job.... Also, soft finishes often pickup metal shavings and are impossible to remove. The Felos in the background have that and I have metal shavings in some of them.

I 3D printed a two level tray so they used less room in my tool box. I kept the puch but could not find a use for it so I tossed it. The pouch is simply useless in its overall design...you can't even wrap it as a normal wrap with a tie string....Is that really a challenge for Wiha? The screwdrivers seem great tho....no complaints there.

Yes, the Wiha Precisions are available in longer lengths, at least for the Slotted and Phillips tips.

the classic is classic junk nowadays. The orange button breaks of quick...tips are soft too. Moving over to WERA.

I just hate that stupid pouch they come in! Come on Wiha, give us a decent case. Those pouches are pathetic.

yup....100%. I tried to keep it but just threw it out cuz it was unuseable the way they made it. Could have been much better with a tie string as used in a typical wrap style tool roll. I'm not sure how that got approved by even the mail guy at Wiha. The screwdrivers themselves are great tho.
