I strongly recommend this game to anyone who hasn't played Pikmin before. It's a very simple, yet complex game. It will put your time management and organizational skills to the test, especially near the very end of the game. Though if you haven't played the original, I would play that first. Simply because both the original and the sequel are just such great games, and you might build a stronger bond with the characters if you play the original first. :)

just watching this brings back memories of the best game i have ever played. memories zelda or other amazing nintendo titles couldnt bring. just the music and sound effects of everything bring back old memories. the best part of the game is the re playability and and being able to re live the memories.thank you nintendo for bringing pikmin back onto the wii and for the new 3rd one coming soon.

Luckily I had a gamecube version of the game for low price. There was only 1 copy in an old French gamestore and I didn't even know there was a sequel. So I was as happy as can be and bought it as soon as I saw it.

Been playing this game almost none stop since I got the new version a couple weeks ago. Beat the story mode 100% and I'm half way though on a second run. (I sucked the first time though but I'm doing much better now that I know what to expect). All in all, I am now fully ready for Pikmin 3!

Let me explain what's going on for everyone confused. There exists something called the "New Play Control" series, in which Nintendo re-releases Gamecube games for the Wii, now with Wii motion controls. Many years ago, they released "New Play Control: Pikmin", which was the first Pikmin game, now with Wiimote controls. Then they released "New Play Control: Pikmin 2", but that game only came out in Europe and Japan. This is the North American "New Play Control: Pikmin 2" trailer.

It's for Pikmin 2 new play control, which has been released in both Japan and Europe for 2 years, but is just now being released in North America. They are probably only finally releasing it in NA to hype up Pikmin 3.

you know it would be really awesome if nintendo made a pikmin game where you could play multy player online, also a singel player challenge mode and DLC for single player so we could do more in the pikmin game that way if the story is short it won't matter because there would be more through the DLC

I have both the GameCube and the Wii versions. Originally, I had only the GCN version but then I bought the Wii version so I could play it on my Wii U and with much better controls. I also have Pikmin 1 for Wii and Pikmin 3 for Wii U. I'd rank them like this: 1. Pikmin 2 (9,5) 2. Pikmin 3 (9) 3. Pikmin (8)
