I got pikmin 2 as a birthday gift from my aunt without any prior knowledge to what pikmin was, but it ended up being one of my favorite game series’ of all time, was searching for something else when I found this old trailer

The first will always be my favorite with the litery motivational storyline, but I can't wait to see the gameplay for 3 Imo pikmin 2 just scratched by back wrong

I found Pikmin 2 to top 1. 1 was incredible, hands down. But 2 had more expansive levels, more challenge, was go at your own pace, better A.I., A collectibles system that rivals SSB(The piklopedia and Treasure Hoard), and more Pikmin. Alot of people didn't like it because it did NOT have a time limit like Pikmin 1. I liked this however, without the rush you could explore and take in the beautiful overworld and plan out your days without the stress and constant tension of before.

Yeah... I know, and that's what I was talking about. But this specific trailer was for the wii version which had just come out. So this trailer was telling you that it is now in stores and is therefore no longer expensive.

I just got this game and it is awsome! They didn't make alot of copys though so if your thinking of waiting untill christmas or something to get this game you might want to think again.

I got the special Wii version last weak from Gamestop and it's probably the best version to play of it today since they don't sell Gamecubes anymore, but the main problem i have with the Wii version is that's it's pretty difficult to mash the A button when you're throwing Pikmin, I think that they should have at least added and option to play with the Gamecube controller, but that's just my opinion.

Yes, but a year or so ago, stores didn't sell Pikmin 2, just Pikmin 1. So if Pikmin 2 was played when you were younger, and you loved it (many people did), you would have to buy it on EBAY. Pikmin was extremely rare because it wasn't in stores, so it would cost anywhere from $50-$120. No joke. Now you don't see that, because it's back in stores. Just lettin' you know. :)

They did.... Look at 1:25 they have same pikmin color and in the 2 player battle mode one has red and one has blue and you have to collect all 4 marbles but in 1:25 you have to collect are treasure so yeah they did It with story 2 people

finally SOMEONE gets the water rape joke(well not even a joke...) and i always preferred the wii controls because its hard for me to use two control sticks at once and it lets you move the pointer around faster

One of my favourite games ever... if you think it's too "cute" or for kids, you are so wrong... it's actually quite difficult, but I preferred playing it on the Gamecube with the gamecube controller rather than the Wii controller. It's now a Nintendo Selects for Wii (should be $20 at retailers) but it's not as easy to find as, say Super Mario Galaxy.

No, you must be thinking of Link from legend of Zelda or kirby when he gets the sword. Pikmin are the tons of little blue and red things that are kind of like minions in the trailer and I swear to god do not ask me who kirby is!

No I don't think the humans died out. I think they were gone for a while. And the enemies are actually pretty small compared to us. The raging long legs looks like a daddy spider if given a real life scale

Actually the pikmin were programmed to have bad AI in the first game because they weren't too sure of Captain Olimar. Some pikmin were more obedient than others and some just really didn't care, hence why only half of the pikmin you'd whistle at would come to your side the first second.

It is a challenge mode. So it is multiplayer not co-op.

Or it could also be that Nintendo didn't like how the New Play Control! series sold in America, because they didn't advertise Donkey Kong Jungle Beat or Pikmin but instead put everything behind Mario Power Tennis which I heard wasn't too good with the motion controls. Instead of looking into the product they thought Americans, and to a lesser case Europeans (didn't get New Play Control! Chibi-Robo), only cared about new games and cancelled the rest of the New Play Control! series.
