@@tiekogalaxylatte8839 8’s rainbow road isn’t horrible, it just could have been way better. With the anti-gravity, the track design could have been way crazier. Like have a loop then have the road u turn and corkscrew thru the middle. That kinda design would have been way cooler. And the other part id say is how man-made it feels. Every other rainbow road felt ethereal and magical. MK 8’s just feels like you’re playing through a space station. Not a bad idea for a track, but it’s a bad idea for a rainbow Road.

I am SUPER Nostalgic for the original version, and I was skeptical, but if anything, this remake ENHANCES my nostalgia for this beautiful track. I almost cried when I heard this for the first time, all the memories of me grinding for every character hit me like a cement truck, harder then they have ever hit me before. EDIT: My opinion on the 3DS Rainbow Road Remake has completely changed now. I actually like it more than the original. It’s just perfect, it looks like they had learnt from butchering the 3DS Rainbow Road theme remake.

Probably the GCN Rainbow Road (Double Dash!!) as well if I’m not mistaken, it’s really good too. But I’m glad that my favorite Rainbow Road has returned to the booster course pass after 15 years in Mario Kart Wii. Playing the track in the game right now, the track is so beautiful and gorgeous, definitely giving me nostalgia after all this time. :)

Throwing it out there, my only one experience with Double Dash was at a kiosk in McDonald's, but I never got to experience the track. Hopefully, one day, I can finally race in that track either as a copy of that game or in the next Mario Kart, hopefully. Sad that wasn't in the BCP.

This track is just as much of an absolute banger as it was 15 years ago. Everything, from music, course design, even the attention to detail of having the player burst into flame and fall to Earth when falling off the track just like the original, everything is perfect. What a way to cap off the Booster Course Pass.

Now that I really think about it, this has to be one of the most 'finale-esque' track themes in Mario Kart... also, I'm so glad they kept everything basically the same. I hadn't really been using the half-pipes, but as soon as I saw this course, you know I was aiming for those jumps. It's all part of the nostalgia.

I genuinely tear up when i realize the bcp is over, it was such a dynamic dlc. Full of disappointment (Sunset Wilds), surprisingly good remakes (Kalimari Desert and Snow Land) some of the best tracks, Coconut Mall, Mushroom Gorge, Snow Land, 3DS Rainbow Road, and to finish off, finally Mario Kart Wii Rainbow Road, it’s been a fun ride, but Mario Kart 9 is overdue but I’ll wait if this is what Mario Kart 8 is.

I remember when I was little and I played this track. I was so bad id manage to fall off within the first ten seconds of the race, and my dad would beat the snot out of me. But I also remember trying over and over again, until finally I just barely beat him one day. I felt like I'd landed on the moon... Ah, let the memories flood back, rainbow road!! Thanks for the good times, Nintendo....they were truly magical.

I think what makes video game music so special is that the composers are forced to "think outside the box" of generic pop writing to fit the theme of whatever is going on in the game. With the subtle addition of Mario Kart Band instruments here, you have these instruments that are used in ways that they normally aren't. As a trombone player, the trombone chords in the background at 0:27 make me so happy. You won't find that kind of stuff in other popular genres of music.

Ya know, when I think about this track, one thing that comes to mind is Funky Kong screaming his ass off throughout the race. He WAS the meta of Mario Kart Wii when paired with the Flame Rider. So technically he’s the main of majority of MKWii players. I mean he was also added in Wave 6 alongside Diddy, Pauline, and Peachette, so that’s cool. Could probably put him on an inward bike and grind the vibes again.

Mario Kart Wii was my first Mario Kart. Despite that, I didnt unlock RR until the early Wii U days because I didn't get to play it very much. I remember thinking that this course was stupidly hard. Then I got good and fell in love with it. It just might be my favorite Rainbow Road of all time and playing on it against my friend for the first time just about brought me to tears.

MK8 on both consoles has entertained me while in school and I’ll never forget it.
