Considering how Wii Sports was essentially a "Gift with Purchase" it was ultimately much more than that. It was the ultimate tech demo introducing us to the new motion controlls. The fact that it became iconic is proof of it´s success in doing so.

Taking a moment to listen to the OST really reminds you that they put a lot of love into the game. The songs give the correct vibe you should feel at the time. (E.G The intro for Golf gives you the feeling of exploration as it shows the course.) Even if the game was rather simple, the OST is amazing and made the game truly timeless.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought the Tennis Select Position Music (0:25) was a bop. The whole OST is but I often found myself sitting on that screen and boxing results screens just to listen to the songs as a kid And the main menu & title screen brings so much nostalgia, it hits me like a train every time. The wii was my entire tween years, I have fond memories surrounding that console.
