I was only being slow because i wanted the top combo. It's easy to breeze through the stages if you're not worried about the combo count.

the hit i did to him was kind of weak so it didn't take him out. i think a hit like that on an opponent that had 2 hearts or 3 hearts may have taken one of those away but when an opponent has only 1 heart i think it has to be a strong hit to take them out unlike the weak hit i did to Luca.

it's not a matter of being slow or fast. my goal for stages 1-10 was to get the highest achievable combo. i could had finished this in a lot less time but i took this long to try and get the highest combo count. which, for this stage would be 50 and that's exactly what i did.

I usually do the same as you on the stages just being slow and wait for them to attack
