YES! Zant is one of my favorite villains period, and I'm so happy that he is playable in this game, so we can see him more in action! I hope he is apart of the story. He is a playful, badass villain, and I absolutely loved him in Twilight Princess. I'm probably going to use him the most.

Glad to see Zant make a return to the franchise. It always bums me out how whenever there's a video on here involving Zant, nearly thousands of people line up to go on and on and complain about how they don't like him or they think he's silly. He's not really silly, not when you actually think about it. His childlike behavior towards the end of Twilight Princess is a perfect way to showcase his raging psychosis in a minimalist fashion. The plot twist that this cold, calculating warlord is actually just an angry, insecure lunatic who can hardly keep his composure when faced with actual confrontation without being assured victory was totally well done and even welcomed as well as unnerving. It was refreshing to see that Zelda, despite being so formulaic over and over, can still manage to give its characters surprising depth and personality. Ghirahim doesn't achieve this. Sure, his twist was neat, I guess. But there's nothing to the character. He's just "creepy" for the sake of being "creepy". And it's such a generic overused style of creepy that we've seen thousands of times already in video games and anime. With Zant we actually got a glimpse of realistic mental illness and instability portrayed with grim and over the top fantasy. People say they wish Zant stayed the cold, calculating, tough as nails warlord character, but isn't that just Ganondorf? Sorry, we've seen it done a bunch already. Maybe I'm just crazy for celebrating good character design instead of clamoring for the same character tropes over and over again.

Spilledsyrup It's a weird technicality. Zant was off before he got Ganondorf's power. You see it in a flashback after Zant is denied rulership of the realm and bangs his head against the wall making goofy noises. While he was in power it was kind of an act because that's not how Zant really was but at the same time the power he had was real so he wasn't really "acting." Imagine Zant's a naive teen who gets a credit card and acts like a big shot with all the money they have. They aren't actually a big shot but they BELIEVE they are. Then when they realize it's just borrowed money and everything comes back to bite them they realize they're just a kid, panic and show their true colors. It's definitely a different way to approach a villain in stories of this type, especially in Zelda where villains are mostly by the book, so I can see why it turned a lot of Zelda fans off. I loved it personally.

The only thing I'm worried about with Zant is when his invincibility runs out during his combos, because during his laugh at 0:36 he clearly got hit at least 3 times (just as an example). So hopefully his invincibility runs out after he finishes his laughing, otherwise he could take quite a bit of damage.

Unless it's like a big enemy that causes knockback or something, you don't really flinch from Mini-enemies attacking because you'd literally never be able to move in these games if every hit made you flinch.

All characters have a tiny invincibility period after their strongest moves. This may sound overpowered during these segments, but given how at higher difficulties you can be knocked on your back by most of your enemy's foot soldiers, they become a bit of an added asset to your special attacks, and add a bit of personality, I'd say.

Daniel Monteiro Actually, they would attack nevertheless. The fact that enemies just stare here is due to the difficulty setting. There are certain animations on which you may be attacked without being knocked back, thus taking damage but barely cringing, though the knockback of enemy attacks, even the generic foot soldier's, is greatly increased at the higher difficulties.

Just because I know this will appear again (just as it has in every other video), this is a showcase of the *CHARACTER'S MOVESET*, not the gameplay itself! So don't complain about it looking as easy as a chicken pot pie, they did that on purpose so the combos didn't get interrupted. This is probably easymode, whereas normal and hard mode is extremely harder.

So i've been hoping I can be an evil hero on the bad guy time, and be against my buddy be a good hero on the good guy team (which so far looks like mostly generic soldiers in other videos, maybe thats why they arent enemies, not enough variation?) Christopher Perestuk Ganondorf and the other playable villains were attacking their own troops, but it was likely just in free play mode. There are screenshots of them decimating Hylian soldiers as well. Also, Hylian forces apparently have Gorons too.
