If Nintendo showed us this trailer BEFORE Atlus knew what this game was going to be about, then wouldn't they have designed the game based on people's expectations of this game? I understand this logic if it was done AFTER Atlus decided to make this game; then would it be Nintendo's fault. But in this case, Atlus should've gotten an idea of what people expected if they've seen the trailer themsevles. So if anything, Atlus still messed up on this by not going by the expectations people had in this game and made something completely different that doesn't appeal to anyone. And even if this game was never intended to be an actual crossover, the trailers were still shown around the world. Why they decided to make something that would only appeal to their own nation's audience doesn't make sense, unless if the developers of Atlus are really that clueless to the outside world.

This game is like No man's sky. We were promised something great out of two JRPG giants but turn into something unrecognizable and not was promised to us. I mean what was Tokyo mirage session suppose to be? It showed only the Fire emblem characters Like Chrom and Tharja but no Shin megami tensei characters and just SMT game play elements and the way it's battle's play. I hope they do this cross over again and do it right. Cause i really and truly want a game where Shin megami tensei and fire emblem cross over where fire emblem characters meet Shin megami tensei characters and fight a common enemy that pulled them from their worlds and time lines.

Or they could fight each other through some kind of misunderstanding, while a 3rd party (possibly a team-up of Gharnef and Zayin (Satan)) will take over the 2nd act. Then the 3rd act will have the true main villain (Emperor Medeus) tap into the power of the demons. Then, at the end of it all, the True Final Boss... YHVH!!!!!!!

Or a post apocalyptic kingdom with gameplay with stats from FE and turn based from SMT. The crossover could've been a lot darker in concept than TMS

Santa Bane This was nothing. Heck, judging by how long it took for actual footage of the game to be shown seems to indicate they just barely started working on it back then. There were no promises other than some sort of crossover. Heck, there wasn't even any guarantee that the characters shown in this teaser were going to be in this game. I'm rather excited at the potential of this game. SMT X FE looks to be more than your typical crossover game. Instead of characters from both franchises teaming up, we have a merging of themes and aspects from both titles. I find that much more creative.

+Kalamari Mainline Shin Megami Tensei is a far better series than Persona in the same way that J. R. R. Tolkien is a far better author than J.K. Rowling. I'm not sure about the first 3 games of Persona, though, as they were far more faithful to the SMT names as they are now.
