Mz. Ruby's boss fight was my 2nd favorite part of the game. My favorite being Bentley Comes Through. I'm GLAD I never played the PS3 version!

What you said on the Ruby (Rhythm) fight is actually true. I consider myself to be at least halfway decent with platformers and I occasionally got a few game overs from time to time. This one fight alone gave me five.

I am really surprised you didn't talk about how difficult the Treasure mini-game was. On my first playthrough (albeit, I was like 5 or 6, 13 now) it was difficult and I still find it difficult to this day. Sure, in most of my playthroughs nowadays, I can beat it first try, but I occasionally slip and die.

Huge Sly fan here. It's great to see a major countdown artist give him attention. The one thing that bothers me about this game though is that the character's mouths move in a weird way. It's like they're moving at random and aren't in sync with the dialogue at all. Kinda surprised you didn't talk about it more. Other than that, great review!

I do remember one power up I really hated was one that gave enemies a little bio. The reason I disliked it cause the bios were huge and would obstruct my vision if I was trying to look at something. Liked the review I agree that Sly 1 just is lacking something from making it a great platformer that I've only played it twice compared to Sly 2/3 which I've played A TON. I'm thinking it's that it doesn't have anything to stand out from say I could play a Mario game and get a much more satisfying game play experience. Sly 1 does do a great job of hooking you into the story though which I love cause the Sly universe is super cool hope they do a good job with that in the movie.

So for the Mz. Ruby fight...... well its a joke. The game doesn't penalize you for button mashing, so if you just button mash the buttons as they come at you, you should be golden; however, this kinda defeats the purpose of the whole timing/Simon says aspect of the fight, but I thought it was worth noting. Also, this game has a ton of glitches that can help with progression. A couple levels have skips in them by going out of bounds. Also, you can skip all the levels in the first two hub worlds with a couple glitches (minus the intro levels to each chapter). There is a glitch that allows skipping breaking into the police headquarters and getting straight in the van, and there is a glitch to jump over the trigger for the Bentley hacking mission in the final levels. If you watch an any% speed-run of the game there are really interesting things to this game that were never intended. Overall, this was a great review! :D (good god, I've created a giant wall of text! The probability of grammar issues is high... Better lay low off the internet for a while :P)

in my eyes with Sly and the Thieves Racoonus, I find the game to be a bit bland in gameplay (I really enjoy the story), but some missions just either feel weird and do add up for thieving, and can be really damn annoying. The music is honestly pretty bland and not all that interesting (not counting Clockwerk's boss theme).

I loved your review and much of the humor you added to it. While not anything major, I do think some of your transitions could have been a bit quicker, or rather, more immediate after your sentence. I mainly thought this at 6:43 when transitioning into the Gameplay, though I can see if you chose to allow the music to get a couple of seconds in before speaking again.
