Wilbur's Dream | Technoblade Tribute Animatic

When I found out Technoblade had passed, I was heartbroken. As a leukemia survivor, to watch such great influential minds succumb to cancer hurts even more. Folks like Edd Gould, Kitty0706, and now Technoblade.
I had decided to hold off on the upload planned for the week the news came out, and put all my time into working on a tribute, hence the gap in the upload schedule. But here it is, my first real crack at a lengthy detailed animatic, and one showing my love for a creator who motivated me to pursue content creation.
So long, Blood God. You will be missed.

I'm gonna miss this guy, man. Lots of my friends always told me that I sounded and acted alot like technoblade and that's how I came to find him. I enjoyed his content and he helped me find where I belong not only as a creator for youtube, but also helped me figure out alot about myself that I didn't really know. I am in no way technoblade because of the sheer amount of strength this man had, throughout his entire legacy; but I hope to one day be more like him then my friends even told me.

I've been having weird dreams about him as well, like he was playing single player games from the afterlife and seemingly aware that he died, he was playing games that weren't minecraft because either he knew he was dying and wanted to branch out, or because for some reason in the afterlife there were different games he wanted to try out. it was very surreal but he knew what was happening and he seemed to be peaceful and joking around as always.

Honestly, this is the most definitive proof of an afterlife I've seen in my life lol It still sends me a shiver down my back whenever I rewatch this and Wilbur asks why Techno didn't answer his messages. That's one of my biggest anxieties, a friend dying and me not knowing for a good while after. While a lot of people have dreams they think are real due to priming their brain (see the rather disturbing tiktok trend of 'universe hopping' or what ever it was called i hope it died it was seriously messed up to give impressionable kids and teens these hopes they could universe hop in their dream as it really can mess with people's sense of reality and values.) I absolutely believe Wilbur talked to his friend. When people pass, they have lingering ties to their lives and the strongest ties often can lead to them showing up again in some manner. For Techno to see Wilbur, see him dreaming about minecraft, and decide to show up, casually drop that he's dead and make fun of wilbur for dreaming about the thing he does a fuck ton in his normal life is 1000% Technoblade. Some would say that if it was techno he'd be like "Yeah i'm dead now so lul" but that's not how he'd act around his friends. He's always more gentle and tactful even if he is still direct about it with his friends. "Yeah I'm not here anymore." that is him, he's not beating around the bush that he's dead but he's not being a tree trunk to the face about it either.

a lot of the religions who agree on the idea we are spirits and that you just leave your body when you die do actually also believe that when you go to sleep you also leave your body. Talking about the one of those I know the most about (spiritism), when you go to sleep you, as a spirit, leave your body and go do whatever you tend to do (it can really be a lot of things), and your physical body interprets the events happening, mixes it with information it has from your day to day life, and from that it can create our normal "surreal" dreams. There is also the possibility of leaving your body and remembering it fully instead of dreams. Of course you cant really "go inside someone's dream", as that is a creation of their mind. But, according to that specific religion, you can meet people that passed away and interact with them, and most likely your meeting would be shoved in someway in your dream. As Wilbur's brain has "streaming minecraft" as avery common thing it would be plausibable (of course, believing those religions) that wilbur's brain started dream about minecraft while wilbur and techno met in the spiritual plane, they interacted and somehow techno became aware that wilbur was thinking about minecraft, and made fun of him for it.

I don't expect you guys to believe me, but this reminded me of a dream I had (more specifically the "I'm not here anymore" part). It was shortly after Techno had announced that he had cancer and had told us about the tumor, and I remember that I think I was on a car trip. I fell asleep, and I was at some kind of convention - Vidcon, if I had to take a guess. He wasn't quite there in person, but I guess the best was I could describe it would be like a Vtuber model but physical. I remember running up to him, so excited that I could finally meet someone that I admired so much. I remember this part the most clearly, and for good reason. I had been shy, tense, but chatting away with him for a while. And then I asked "Hey, Techno.. Can I give you a hug?" While my stomach turned with nervousness that he would reject it and excitement on the chance he'd let me. And he responded with something that I'll remember forever. "Yeah, sure, nerd.. Just watch the arm, okay?" I remember he was chuckling like I had told him a joke. Remembering it now, it felt so real. The hug was warm and it actually was that dream that made my anxiety for him melt away for a bit. I only wish that I could have met him. He felt like an older brother, or a cool uncle. Thinking about that memory now, it definitely hurts, but.. It's still just as comforting as it was back then. Fly high, Alex.. And don't forget your crown, Blood God.

I been dreams about him too. I met him only when he died and I cried too much. I told God to keep an eye of him and had this Three Dreams of Techno during this Month of July On July 8th, I dream about i was in school. My hair wad brown with blue reading glasses. I'm holding and looking sad seeing the picture of Technoblade irl Then a janitor came to me we both sit "You miss him so much do you?" He said. "He will always in your heart." He said calmly. Then I saw a wall post of him it was a Minecraft map i saw his minecraft skin, he's riding a boat fast repeating. I think he's playing games in heaven/paradise. Edit: I think god disguise as a Janitor. Because I prayed him too much. Also God told me He's not here (in earth) he's in paradise now. Like he's telling me that Techno passed in Heaven with a thumps up. 👍

Thank you so much for sharing this! Honestly, thankful to everyone here for sharing their dreams and prayers, though I appreciate yours especially. Mainly the conformation that you felt God directly tell you Techno is ok. I had a small yet vivid dream on the morning of July 3rd where I saw God’s hands appear out of a cloud and grab Techno’s spirit before some purple/void things could get to them. I also had a VERY vivid dream on the 13th of March in 2021, that included Technoblade being a Jedi with a royal robe and blue lightsaber. There were a lot of things that happened sense that dream, so I know it has meaning, and I remember at the end we were running from a giant monster (that kinda resembled the predator from AvP) and we escaped to the parking lot. Had a very short dream after that where the three of us who escaped were resting in the back of a car that was driving away. Thinking about all these things I do know for certain that Technoblade’s soul is alive and ok.

On my last school year I was nicknamed techno because of the energy we gave of, and the way we treated people, loving and caring but shows it by insulting or hitting people, and now that he is gone I don't think I'm like him anymore I completely broke down and started crying my eyes out when I saw his vide, I was like "oh techno posted a new video" saying and sounding like it's a funny video, then a few minutes in it hit me... I wasn't able to move on for quite a while, he was my inspiration and my motivation to keep going in life and now he is gone... At least he is a better place... I actually had a dream the day after technoblades passing was announced where at one point in the dream I was trapped in this underground, dark room and then i spot a man with pink hair dressed in a red cloak in the corner. Techno. I’m actually working on a Technoblade cosplay. I’ve been seeing all of the amazing animatics and fanart in his honour, and I wanted to give a tribute to him somehow. I can’t draw, so that’s out of the question, let alone animate. And then I remembered I got Kamui cosplay’s book collection of how to start cosplaying. And that’s when it hit me. I could cosplay! I discovered Technoblade when I was 3, he inspired me to start playing Minecraft. My friends started talking about him a lot, and I started to watch his videos a lot more. On June 30th, Technoblade uploads. I was super excited to watch it, and later that night, I was shocked to see what happened. I teared up and told my friends. They comforted me and we talked about Techno all night. I cried for days. I had headaches and I had stress and anxiety. It was horrible. I’m still processing what happened, but he was a good man. He will be missed, we all love him. Rest in peace and power 💕
