In any drama online you have to be your own advocate first and foremost. That’s just the nature of the beast. Wilbur did that thing people do where they basically don’t want the relationship anymore but don’t want to break up (cause that’s scary) so they just make their partner miserable thru passive aggressive means so eventually the person will do the work of breaking up for them. This is shitty behavior but hardly DV or worthy of “cancelation” but the whole issue is cranked to 100 because his audience is children. If he wasn’t a guy who is rich from being internet famous he wouldn’t be in this situation at all so I have limited sympathy. These Minecraft teeniebopper music creators need to realize that they might have rockstar money but they are in children’s entertainment, sure you can buy all the same cocaine as the metal bands but your under more scrutiny and your more fragile. @@LizStaples I don't necessarily disagree with your points, but my criticism is how both of these creators handled the situation. I don't think defusing works (atleast I think that is the PR tactic). Basically you avoid escalating the conflict by conceding ground to the other party immediately. Politicians used to do it all the time to appear more reasonable and level headed ("I understand my opponent does X, but Y is more important"). The problem is this situation is not one that can be appeased through common ground, you're going to lose audience no matter what... So you're better off coming out aggressive, even if it means you appear as a bit of a dick. The alternative is Shubble it Catibugzz will string you up by the ground you give.
