Wolfman Jack was a popular DJ when I was a kid and like someone mentioned that was his voice. The Guess Who has a song "Clap For The Wolfman", which is a song about Wolfman Jack. I do recommend taking a listen to The Guess Who. I think you might like them.

This song brings back memories being released in 1975. The song did well on the Billboard charts. Another hit Sugarloaf had in 1970 was GREEN-EYED LADY

I forgot Sugarloaf had another hit. For some more organs, try Vanilla Fudge's "You Keep Me Hanging On," which is a cover of a Diana Ross and the Supremes song. Maybe even try both; big diff between the two.

The lead singer/ keyboardist Jerry Corbetta was a very good friend of both my sister and me. He died in Sept 2016, he would love that you're reacting to his band 💔 This song was a true story that actually happened to Sugarloaf.

I got to meet Jerry years ago before he passed when he played with Mike Pinera in Classic Rock All Stars. He sounded great!

You hit the nail right on the head. They had instruments! They were musicians! Not like "artists" today. They're all synthesized and auto-tuned and artificial. There has definitely been a talent shortage since the 1980s.

Green eyed Lady is killer you will like . Back then is was more about putting your music and sound out on the radio for us to hear . After MTV the bands image became as much of a draw for the viewers as the music and we ended up with what we have today. As a kid i rarely got to see what the bands looked cause most never got on tv. Im not saying todays music is crap. But i wanna thank you and those that are making music fun for old guys like me again.I started playing guitar again since lockdown started and im having a blast Keep Rockin

Thank you for your feedback! If you get a chance, check out "Tongue In Cheek", "Lay Me Down", and "Stars In Her Eyes" by Sugarloaf.

It might be OK to take your time with Sugarloaf, because they were not together very long, so their catalog is not as deep as some of the other bands you are doing. Keep sprinkling them in though, for sure. I got another band to toss out there for consideration. Three Dog Night. Now there is a catalog! One, Eli's Coming, Mama Told Me Not to Come, Shambala, Joy to the World, etc etc

That was the voice of Wolfman Jack giving the "On Stereo 92" line. He was featured in the movie American Graffiti, and was the host of The Midnight Special for most of the 70's. Sugarloaf also released a song called Clap For The Wolfman.

guys like Frank Zappa was a freak when it came to making albums. He made 116 Albums. He has(d) a recording studio in his home and had a vault where he would record songs and not release them. He recorded 10,000's of pieces of music from when musician friends would come over and just jam with him, that no one else has ever heard.

I STILL say that, being a drummer, you really must react to In-a-Godda-da-Vida by Iron Butterfly - crazy drum solo - but the version has to be over 17 minutes long.

I always thought that Ron Bushy did a fantastic drum solo - melodic, musical and dynamic and totally appropriate to the song.

Back then concert tickets were $5-$10. Now they are $100+. And with KZbin and digital downloading, there is more money to be made touring than putting out new music. It's a sad byproduct of technology.

Another song about the Bull shi! of the music business for a new band trying to get a start. Listen to these great lyrics. They even use a Beatles riff from the song "Day Tripper." It's so cool. This is sort of a "spoof" on the record business, and the way you can be taken advantage of by shifty lawyers. I really like this song. musically, these guys are excellent. Another 70s song.

I think we've gotten lazy, which is weird given the tools we have. This is coming from an old dude who was part of kicking out releases. Heck, did it recording to analog tape. I think, and maybe I'm wrong, it's become too easy. Kind of "I can do it quick, I'll do it tomorrow. Today, I'll promote my brand" That wasn't a thing 30 years ago. Promoting your brand WAS putting out new music, not new variations on your image. If that makes any sense.

I don't know what to tell you...maybe...a...commitment to the art of music......and their fans....I don't know. I just know that every year we would get an album and maybe 3 single songs by these groups then the rest was getting money to go to their concerts.
