A great version of the Hag classic by the inimitable Cal who always managed to put his unique stamp on the recordings made famous by others. His own hits were of course marvelous and the country music scene lost one of the true greats with his sad passing last year.

Good song...like about all of his. About the only one of his recording I never really cared for is "Green Door", probably because I never really cared for it too much back years ago when it was popular... But it did get a lot of air time back in the day.

Sounds funny but one of Cal's few songs I never cared for was "Country Bumpkin". It's ok, but far from my favorite of his work.
