That's very similar to the show I saw in St. Paul on Sunday. I said I thought they would avoid Yankee Hotel Foxtrot tracks, and sure enough... we got "Jesus, Etc." and "I am Trying to Break your Heart." I feel lucky now! Midunderstood has like 1/10th of the crowd screaming "nothing!" compared to the first time I saw them when Sky Blue Sky came out.

The Ode to Joy tunes work so nicely with the stuff they weaved in from YHF and AGIB. They have such a huge body of work to pull from now that they're able to select all these kindred spirit songs from across the catalog.

The Boston show was beyond incredible. Jeff told three guys in the front row: "Those are the most incredible beards I've ever seen! But you've been texting during the first three songs. Haven't you ever been to a rock show before?" Perfect.

Once had two hipsters sitting next to me at a Jason Isbell show talk about their beards for 15 minutes during the opener.

True story. I had tickets to the Chicago residency shows, and had to miss for a family trip. More than happy to have made the family trip, and so happy to find this earlier performance. This is the closest I'll come to seeing Wilco this winter. Having seen Wilco 4 times live, I still have to say... This is still the best live band i have ever seen - 1. "THE" tightest live individual performers I have ever seen. 2. The most "deliberate" sounds I have heard in a rock band (both live AND studio). 3. The most "aural and sonic" sounds recreated in a live setting. 4. The most metaphoric (Company in My Back), and phonic (When You Wake Up Feeling Old) lyrics I've heard in modern rock music. 5. Great, natural, humble, and spontaneous live humor from Jeff Tweedy, and a truly inspiring performance by the entire band. Excellent musicianship has furthered this band through every recording. Thanks for making this music, Wilco. Looking forward to the next record already.
@valentinabridi98195 жыл бұрын
Tweedy before IG said something like: "The nicest thing about putting out new records is that people will finally start saying good things about the old ones! Even Schmilco is not so bad now no?".
