The leaders of Uncle Tupelo, Jay Farrar and Jeff Tweedy, split off into 2 bands Son Volt and Wilco. The members of Wilco in this early time period of the band are mostly the last iteration of Tupelo (Tweedy, Coomer, Stiratt) with the addition of Jay Bennett. This a Tupleo song they are playing.
