Shame KUIU were not there (at the show (made in the U.S.A. and all materials sourced from the U.S.A.}), as the Mountain Star 2p, and 3p tents are amazing for price and stability. Going for the Mountain Star next year. Within the next six weeks purchasing the Storm Star 2p a tried and test bomb shelter with plenty of space, not in any way flappy compared to the Chinese made Hillebergs and at half the price. As for the video, what a healthy nice rich colourful adventure. All that vibrancy cheered me up bigtime this morning. Not been too well yesterday and work today. Boosted my spirits, thankyou so much for sharing!

It’s unreal what’s around the Woolpacks. That frog was also in its giant form. 😂 Probably a pet. Cheers!

Just subbed. Beautifully filmed - love all the nature, scenery and sunrise/set shots. Almost completely geared up for my first wildcamp so may get to the peaks sooner rather than later. Thank you for sharing.

Ah nice one, it’s great getting all the gear together. You’ll find some bits will work brilliantly and others not so perhaps but it’s all good fun collecting it all and trying it out. I’d like to eventually get a different sleeping bag. The leviathan is great but it’s not quite wide enough and I can’t turn in it as the sleeping bag moves with me which is quite frustrating. Quite like the idea of a hybrid quilt. Sierra designs do a good one but it’s a bit pricey. Anyway, good luck on your first wild camp. Have a great time. 🏕️👍🏻

That was brill Gav and congratulations on reaching the 1k mark on your subs, its well deserved mate.👍 You know that I'm a fan of the Tarpstar and have used it quite a few times now in all weather conditions (apart from snow). If you're thinking of getting one, then I highly recommend it, especially for its wind performance. I've had the Tarpstar out in 45-50mph gusts and it was rock solid. It's the kind of tent that gives you confidence when camping up on the tops where the wind strength can suddenly change. Also, the internal space vs weight is very impressive.
@HikingForHealth15 ай бұрын
I do like the look of that Tarpstar. And they’re reasonably priced too! Be great for multi day hikes as an option. A lot tend to go for the Lanshan 1/2 to save weight. All the best.

Hi Gav i know its not even summer yet, but are you intending on using the cloud peak during the winter camps?
@HikingForHealth15 ай бұрын
Definitely. Hoping to test it out when the weather gets colder in the winter. It has more mesh than the Banshee 300 I have but will be good seeing how it performs.
