Cool video. What's the rules regarding camping, chopping wood and fires in the Galloway Park?
@MontyOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Camping and responsible fires are permitted. I believe foraging is either illegal or not a responsible move - as insects and small animals use deadwood for homes, - but we need to use dead trees. We also bring our own wood to limit the amount of foraging we do.
@jonbe83042 жыл бұрын
I know this was a while ago but one quick question, how did you get the fire going with wet wood, best reards and thanks for vid.

To much gear for a 7 minutes video, out of which more than half was the cooking. I would focus more on the scenery and location than on what you have cooked. Also, you took a lot of gear for one night there and made a huge fire for nothing. Please take this as a constructive criticism. Cheers.
@MontyOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Aye, if you watch at 6 mins 50, you'll see it's my mates. My mates constantly over do it with gear that infuriates me. And I completely agree with the fire, it was an absolute waste of time. There was a stream of light showers that didn't help and the ground was a major heat sink. My videos are trial and error at the moment and I am taking on board what others are saying. I think from my future videos onwards, there will be no dialogue between people, improvements on cooking - akin to Colin Russell, - more scenic shots, and ideally fires are replaced with the little fire stoves. We all like a fire, but lets look after the environment as much as we can. Thanks, mate.
