Best video i’ve watched since i don’t know when, your old photos, your memories of childhood, walks with your Dad, they all take me back to my youth when i walked so many of the Wainrights with my Dad, stopping in youth hostels, great memories. If i could do one thing in my life again i think i’d walk up the old man of coniston with my Dad, his favourite mountain, where i spread his ashes. Thanks for a lovely video Dave

I got home a little while ago, from my development and was wondering about you Dave, thinking why have I not got a notification of a video. I wonder how Dave is getting on. Did a search and find 5 days ago you put this video up. So sorry I missed it. As for the most excellent video and the support your 'honey pot' (forgive me) gives you is the same for me. My wife is not into wild camping like myself, but supports me, encourages me, and enjoys the videos. She loves to be in the car with me, but not out in the wild. She too is a home bird (doing her Masters at the moment). I am going to have to get my wife driver trained, so she can drop me off on hikes (never thought of that advantage lol). Although she keeps repeating she want a 3 Wheeler motorbike lol. My wife is my best friend, and we smile together all the time. I can see that is so true of you as a couple. Can I ask is that a OMM Chest Rusksack? I have just bought one for easy access to my map compass and action cam. I too love to sleep without the tent as you know if possible (even though I take it just in case), it is the best experience in my opinion. I totally agree in regards to the importance of taking time out, to spend some time in nature. It is hard to explain to those who have not experienced it. I try to say to my business partners in regards to wealth, how much is enough. Take some time out to slow time down and appreciate the beauty of nature. Get grounded, and by doing so the work we do will benefit also in regards to a positive happy attitude. Time is indeed relative, as when I am snowed under with work the week goes so quick that I have no real enjoyment. Time goes so slow when I'm out there in nature, and it has a tendency to ground me, a very humbling experience. Great video Dave and I know you like me enjoy the editing side of videos you put up.

Another lovely relaxing journey through the UK countryside Dave. Its funny how sometimes you can find joy in trails when you don't expect to. I used to think it had to be a great vista, or spectacular waterfall, but can now find the same pleasure from a woodland path or wild flower meadow. They all share the same connection of our natural world. I agree with you, I think it takes a couple of days to get tuned back into this connection. It's why I love multi-day trips and wild camping as part of it. However, as you said, we need to once and for all establish wild camping as part of the access rights in the UK. I now find myself uneasy camping anywhere remotely near farmhouses, even on open access land. Till next time....
