BUSHMAN and BLUE

3 жыл бұрын

The actually EPIC Malham Cove and Gordale Scar shown in their full glory with a wild camp along the way. With a look at Malham Reservoir and the beautiful Janet’s Foss waterfall too, this is an extremely picturesque night out! The dog is his usual daft self always adding to the adventure having to negotiate a waterfall climb with him and a lovely middle of the night surprise!

I ve only recently found your channel and what a channel it is . Compared to some of the UK 100,000 subscribers channels that mainly base there content on products (not mentioning names ) are extremely boring . You bring life and inspiration into yours videos and really motivate me to get out . Keep up the brilliant work 👏 👍

Bushman and Blue are inspiring; they bring the outdoor to our homes they give out a vibe to one’s inner soul that simply energize lazy bones. It would be great to see them in Dovedale roaming the peaks of the Dove so millions that visit each year could see the awesome scenery above. I would like to thank Bushman and Blue for sharing the places they roam and wish them a pleasant adventure and allowing a safe journey home.

Totally engaging content Al, when Blue arrived back in his muddy state was a complete joy to watch, his face just said "I`m sorry Al but I enjoyed myself and that is all that matters"🤣 You always seem to have the knack to achieve a good balance of activity and relaxation for the viewers and for me you have even made the "walking back to collect your camera bit" a completely normal and acceptable part of the edit, I was actually going to suggest that you could use your drone to video yourself and Blue walking off into the distance then simply fly it on to wherever you have stopped to save on the extra walking but I really don`t think you need to change anything. What a team, you are truly blessed and are definitely one of natures gracious allies. Bit by bit I am making plans to get back to nature, though when it warms up a bit😉 Thanks again for an inspiring adventure👍👍👍

Been to Malham loads of times. I walked up from Grassington through Threshfield then upto Kilnsey Moor trig then across the moors to Gordale Scar last weekend. Also if you haven’t been, try walking to Malham from Settle up high via the Dales Highway past Warrendale Knotts, Victoria Cave and Attermire Scar then follow the Pennine Bridleway past Rye Loaf Hill ( has a tidy little summit with 360 views of the Y3P and dales ) and up across the Grizedales then you can veer towards Malham Tarn or straight over the limestone gorges to the cove. Attermire Scar and Warrendale Knotts is my special place. After that has to be Clapham and Ingleborough then Malham is a close third. If you havent been to Attermire you need to go. There’s a trig atop Warrendale knotts you can see all of Giggleswick Scar, the peaks, Settle, Forest of Bowland, Pendle Hill and across to Malhamdale its beautiful. Great video. Only found you a few days ago but loving your journey. Always great and comforting to watch fellow Yorkshire people out adventuring. Most hikers are too preoccupied with Snowdonia and Scotland but for me the dales will always have my heart and I will walk them until my legs dont work anymore. Thank you for sharing and blessing us with your memories 😃🙏🥾👌🤟

Great trip. Love to see the "mud" dog. Mine does that if we go to our beaver pond. Lots of people, even in winter! I am always amazed at the stone walls in UK, and those steps that someone labouriously built long ago.

I have recently found your Chanel and just subscribed and it’s my favourite to watch on KZbin now. I am loving your videos and your motivation. I have always loved the hills and live close to Snowdonia but your advice on equipment and how to deal with differing conditions is second to none. Keep up the great work and keep these superb videos coming. Paul

Glad you’re enjoying the videos. I’m out at the minute to can’t exactly remember the boots but they are Tecnica plasma mid ? But in my Fairfield video I mention them on there exactly what they are. I well prefer a lighter boot that I can run in if needed.

Stunning that mate. Really fantastic scenery. You looked like a kid in a sweet shop; your enthusiasm shone through. Great vlog. Probably worth emphasising that plenty of care needed at Gordale Scar. Having climbed up and down the Scar I would say it’s far easier climbing up so anyone wanting to replicate this journey might find it easier doing the whole journey in reverse (Gordale Scar, Malham Tarn followed by Malham Cove). Malham village is also lovely with a couple of great pubs.
@BUSHMANandBLUE
@BUSHMANandBLUE 3 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree up is easier although my daughter at 4 climbed up and then back down un aided. I just was behind her making sure she was safe. With the dog it’s 50 times harder though! And crossing the wet areas are the worst bit being quite slippy! Thanks.
@jonm4989
@jonm4989 3 жыл бұрын
@@BUSHMANandBLUE climbing up and down unaided at 4 is very impressive. It’s not really the difficulty that makes it dangerous, but more as you say the slippyness. Maybe I’m getting a little too wary as I get older, but I can see the capacity for broken ankles at Gordale as It looks more innocuous than it actually is. Anyhow many thanks for your films and obvious enthusiasm; it’s great to see.
@BUSHMANandBLUE
@BUSHMANandBLUE 3 жыл бұрын
Yes the limestone pavement at malham is the worst for an ankle but I guess people should know their limitations. Having the lungs to get up those steps is the first filter😂. Thank you for your kind words. I’m heading to the lakes in an hour so very excited!!!
