Enjoyed this Sandy :) As a youngster (from about 8yrs) visited the Quantocks with my parents each year when visiting close friends in a Village nearby named "Bagborough", I was allowed to walk their dog named Spider (on a leash). Uncle George was never too pleased if he saw the Hunt on horseback with hounds chasing a Stag. Woodland tea superb :)) Cheers...Les

Perhaps not as much heat output as the trangia burner but the lid stove did work well especially for the warmer months. and economical too.
@AndyJarman
@AndyJarman 5 жыл бұрын
@@WiltshireMan apart from the weight, the trangia type stoves allow you to save unburned fuel by plopping the lid back on and screwing it up. I remember reading on a website supplying trangia type stoves that had been especially soldered to prevent leakage. At the end of the day the heavier trangia type stove could actually prove to be lighter because of the fuel saving.
