Addiction you say, it's been my addiction for over 5 decades!!! We call it tramping over here (hiking) and so far, this year I've done 49 tramps. For me a good year is 65, at least. The good thing about tramping over her is that our forests are huge and mountainous, and you don't have to go to the same place twice if you don't want to. I do one day trips to three-day trips, even longer. I understand that not everyone can find the time to do that many a year, but for me, it's my release from the mad noisy world. One of my favourite tramps is the night tramp, the forest is never quiet, and as a guide for many years it was a delight to take people on a night tramp and watch their faces and reactions when walking through a dark forest. I'm starting to waffle.. Enjoyed the video ATB cheers from the mountains of NZ 😊😊

Enjoyed the video Steve. I have Bannerdale in my sights for my next camp. Like u say, it’s the views and sunset/sunrise that’s the addiction. Worth all the graft getting up on the fells. I personally just enjoy the peace and quiet of being alone. Keep up the good work. ⛺️👍

Good video there Steve, your food certainly puts my dehydrated meal to shame! Lol Was there recently, unfortunately Bannerdale crags was in clag when I walked past on my way to Blencathra. Ended up camping at Scales tarn because of the weather, but the next morning went back up to Blencathra's summit for an absolutely fantastic 360° cloud inversion, spent a while up there taking it all in. Was even treated to a broken specter on the way back down. And yes, I'd say that I'm pretty addicted too. Certainly get withdrawal symptoms if I can't get out for a while! Looking forward to your next one mate 👍
