I kinda hope 2025 launches you into a full time KZbinr, this channel is hugely under rated. On a side note, my uncle had a Karmann Ghia he bought new, so I'm doubled down on being a fan boy of this channel.

As I said before: You guys are amazing! That "comparison" between cars, is exactly what we did, in our firm with motorcycles. Taking a photo against a white background and asking the customer:"How would You like Your bike to look like". Then, printed out the "which list" including the colour, we built it, from scratch, or existing bike. As said, this, will be interesting. Keep going! from a Finn in Diaspora

How about a 1.8L Turbo from VAG? They are pretty common, there are a ton of upgrade parts available, which dont break the bank and its fairly light.

The only answer is a 5cylinder 07k swap. I'm doing it on mine and it fits so perfectly. I'll even come help lol. It takes boost really well and unopened can make your power goal of 350 without any issues

For many reasons tying together… a 5 cylinder audi engine ticks a lot of boxes here… the fact 944 used the audi transaxel, the noise a 5pot makes, available power gains for low costs, durability etc against that tiny body i think is a win and stays almost OE for parts sourcing too ❤ Not my car but id be keeping the 5cyl on the table as a viable option for sure

@@KaosProject21 yes i was thinking that. there is no transaxle system with aircooled engine. and you want less weight in the back. so the challenge is to attach an straight gearbox. should be possible with adapter

I love Karmen Gea coup's not a fan of the convertible version but the coup is one of my favorite cars!!!! Always wanted to build a bad ass mid engine version not concerned about stock look! slap a 13b rotary in that thing, those are great engines. You could do a carbed 12a, those would be way easier on electronics, although they're not super high hp.

The VW 07K 2.5L 5 cylinder is common in mk5 & mk6 golfs and Jettas, is very stout in stock form and takes boost well, has the same bellhousing and crank bolt pattern as VW 4 cylinders, and S&P, which is not too far from you, makes a header and turbo manifold.

So this may sound like a crazy idea for engine.. but what about a v6 out of a Camry? They are roughly 300hp and rock solid reliable and super easy to find.
