You'll be more likely to see the 3rd and 2nd most deadly snakes in the world before interacting with a friendly wild parrot
@sheerluckholmes546821 күн бұрын
@@VergilTheLegendaryDarkSlayer that doesn't sound right to me, I interacted with Rainbow Lorikeets and a King Parrot the other day and saw neither a Coastal Taipan or an Eastern Brown Snake.
@VergilTheLegendaryDarkSlayer21 күн бұрын
@@sheerluckholmes5468 if the parrots already know you, you can interact with them, if you've never interacted with the wild parrots, they would be more likely to fly away instead of interacting with you Yes some zoos have rainbow lorikeets but they have interacted with humans for decades and have no fear of them

That's a male. Females are almost the opposite colours, more green than red. Quite common along the eastern and southern coastal areas and inland quite a bit along with numerous other parrots and cockatoos.

Wow! You are very blessed that the King Parrot will eat out of your hand! I have heaps of wild birds here and they are so timid! I could only dream of getting that close!
@stuwhiteman3810Ай бұрын
Just keep trying and one day you will be surprised, they just need time to gain your trust and just respect their space then they will come to you. Don't pay any attention to them at first, show the food to the other birds and after a little bit they will realise you are not a threat. But yes Australian King Parrots are one of the most timid birds in Australia, if you can get a King Parrot to land on your hand or even for them to keep coming back you are the bird whisperer lol. One of the best challengers you can perfect in Australia and as you can see this lady has nailed it. Don't push them take your time and in the end it's a magical experience to know that they can trust you.
