WILD LAOS | The Hor - Phongsali Hill Tribes Pt2
We continue east away from Phongsali into the deep mountains and jungle towards the Vietnam border where some of the most isolated hill tribes in Laos can be found. It is here that we find the Hor hill tribe. A small ethnic group which can only be found high in the mountains here in Laos. 2 Hor villages we visit, seeing how they live and help out while we are there. Even up here so far away from anybody the people are still very friendly.. wanting us to sit, drink tea and show us their home.
Everyday life in Laos, we live in Vientiane, Now in Lao with Lao wife, Neenee Lao life living in Laos capturing the Lao lifestyle, daily life in Lao, where to go in Laos, travel destinations, Laos tourism, customs, Lao development and how people live in Laos in their travel Laos videos and travel vlogs. Now to Lao, Vlogging Laos S.E.Asia !!

I have never cried so much in my life, but not what you think. A flood of love for these people, I'm the happiest I ever been here, words can't describe, and when camera isn't rolling these people really open up. That's why I stopped my channel. God has saved me coming here, my heart will never leave these people.

Howdy Todd,,👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 unlike people that are used to NCO's and other charities passing out everything they need,,those people get demanding and expect stuff. These people,,even the little kids were humble and immensely appreciative. I was especially struck by the same girl you were,,I think the last you passed kanom to. She politely stood to the side to let all the younger ones get theirs,,,then she said thank you,,it was even English wasnt it? If I ever make it,,I wanna buy 5000 chocolate bars to pass out. 🤠🎩👑🤠🎩👑

I recently ran across your channel and wish that I'd found it sooner. Every child and adult in first world nations should see your work and the simplicity of the Laotian tribe people. No cell phones, no laptops and the kids think that they've died and gone to Buddha heaven when the receive a dress, shirt, book or even an ordinary candy bar. Their spirit and love of life shows through with every smile. How soon the world forgot the amount of death and destruction that the Laotian people experienced during the Vietnam War. . Keep up the great work.

Those girls will surely enjoy their new outfits and also seemed grateful to have a one-of-a-kind dress! Jjust awesome to see, and thank you for sharing another one of you and Neenee's heartwarming videos. Stay happy, healthy and safe to you both.

God blessed you Todd and Neenee, you guys not only open our eyes to a beautiful country with magical landscape. You also opened our eyes (certainly mine) to beautiful people. They're having tough life yet they still welcoming you and your wife before you guys handing out gifts. Even a blind man can see the joy and smiles on their face, especially the kids. You can have lots of donation but without the physical work that you and your wife put in. It would not be possible..... May God bless all that lend a hand to make it possible especially to Todd and Neenee.

Another wonderful video! It really brings back memories of a 2-1/2 hour trek I did on the outskirts of Sapa, Lao Cai province, Vietnam. I visited a Black Hmong home in the village of Ma Tra about midway through my guided trek among the hillside rice terraces being worked by the Hmong villagers (a couple of the women working with their babies secured to their backs with wrapped blanket harnesses. The Black Hmong home looked very similar, with wood walls, a tin roof over wooden rafters with a Buffalo hind quarter hanging to season, and dirt floor with a fire pit. There were two elderly matriarchs and a number of curious young village kids. One of the Hmong aunties let me try some homegrown tobacco through her bamboo water pipe (a Viet bong? 😊). My guide had brought some sweet rolls as a gift for the family, and I gave the auntie some Vietnamese Dong as a gift. It made for an interesting stop on the trek, as did trying my hand at uprooting rice seedlings in a terrace paddy for transplanting under the guidance of a Hmong woman, during which some Hmong late teenagers/early twenty-somethings got into a friendly mud, water and uprooted rice stalk fight next to me! Cheers!

I left Laos at a young age, too. And I was born in northern Luangprabang, not far from Phongsaly... but we left northern Lungprabang to northern ViengChan, when I was just a year-old & lived in northern Vientiane until I was 5 or 6, when we left Laos, 1975. But I've heard --- decades later, when I discussed some aspects of the history of Laos with my brother in law, who was a very young officer in Laos, in the early 1970s, having trained in Thailand, as an officer, & having traveled extensively throughout Laos, as an officer... he told me ---- of the Hor tribe, along with many other small Lao ethnic groups.
