Got a couple of question. After you shot that Bull did you fly camp there or hump all the way back to your rock Bivvy in the dark? What model battery banks do you use to keep your gear charged? What model Stone Glacier Pack did you use? Cheers, grt video...
@timschulpen2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate! Slogged back to the rock biv after we went down to the bull to get the head skin done and cooling over a bush. Didn’t want it to slip the hair by staying hot on the animal. Power banks are a real mix of brands, nightcore and a couple from Harvey normal. And the packs are Stone glacier Sky Talus 6900 (grey one) and then the gold one is the Evo model.

@@timschulpen Grt thanks heaps for the info. Great hunt and hard core effort

Hey fellas - great hunt the hard way. Dont reckon I could do that myself. Great head there, I wondered why you didnt take any meat from that beast eh?
@timschulpen2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate! Appreciate the comment. Packs going in were 32kg, we covered well over 70km over the trip in some of the hardest country you can find. Head skin would have been around 12kg and head around 15kg it doesn't take long before your lugging around 50kg+ through a swamp!
@dave9.32 жыл бұрын

@@timschulpen thought so, did you find them big enough for the trip/ comfortable? Running Kuiu Pro 6000 at the moment and have been doing a bit of research on those Stone Glacier packs and trying to find some reviews on them from local guys. Thanks

@@RaptorNZ Plenty of space and super comfortable. Given its a seriously good run over the last year and I'm seriously impressed with it. The whole design beats anything else on the market in my opinion.

Did you use the Zoleo for Weather reports? How were they?
@timschulpen2 жыл бұрын
The forecast through the Zoleo was pretty average but just flicking a message out to someone who knows their stuff on getting a solid forecast was definitely the way to go. The Zoleo weather forecast is for the area, not for the localised spot I believe.

@ocean view! Fiordland has broken many man mentally and physically! Half the ballot winners wouldn't have even attempted what these boys achieved!
