Excellent video, wish I had a place to try harvesting oysters. Closest would be Cape Cod somewhere...and this is NOT the time of year to go to the Cape. But maybe Fall? I think the rule others use for oystering is when it's cold water. You two are great, I learned so much, thank you.

Great vid! Love oysters. We use to shuck them in Port Isabel while wading out fishing. Like your fishing location ( North Carolina, close to Virginia ). Keep it up!

Cool video! The oysters look great!!! I have caught some nice redfish up on those flats where you were. I think the fish you found in the oyster was a Feather Blenny. Take care.

Rene, to really have oysters R you need to add some crunched up bacon and add the cheese on to so it can get a bit crispy. I love everyway and I know why she said, "Of course he's going to eat all of those Oysters". Anticipation. Mike

Add serrano ham diced or bacon to that recipe. Top with panko bread crumbs than drizzle just a bit of melted butter on the panko... hit on the broiler for 2 min. After cooking for 6 min on 450 baking. perfect oysters rock... ohh and did you need a license to gather the oysters?

Where in NC is this? I live in Wilmington and oysters are insanely priced. Would love to figure out where exactly I could go in this area to harvest some.

Dude, you live on the Intercostal Waterways where the banks are literally lined with millions of oysters. Or at least, they were when I would go there in the 2000's. Not sure if it's changed. I live in California but my grandfather lived in Wilmington NC on the waterways, and as a kid we used to visit every summer and fish and harvest oysters as well as blue crabs. Unless something has changed, there are literally so many oysters that it's actually a walking hazard lol. Wilmington is great. I used to love going to Wrightsville beach. Good times.

Great vid! love oysters. We use to shuck them in Port Isabel when we would go fishing ( fishing and eating oysters. It doesn't get any better). However, word got out and people came from other nearby towns to harvest them and did not return the shells. In time, it got over harvested. Sad, but true. Love your fishing location (Carolina), close to Virginia.

It looks really good but may I offer one tip? Don’t buy pre-shredded Kraft or any other brand parmesan cheese. If you buy the cheese from a deli and grate it yourself it’s so much better! The difference is like night and day! Other than that I’m gonna start oyster hunting and follow your recipe! With real Parmesan I know it’s going to be spectacular! Thank you for the video! You both earned a thumbs up and subscribe! P.S. is that a particular time of year to harvest oysters???? Thanks!

Finding oysters in NC is easy.. finding oysters where they can legally be harvested is another story. We clam on Oak Island and lot of areas are closed and even more areas close due to weather. How do you know where to harvest oysters legally?

Even the old (mostly black) men selling oyster/clams/fish near the bridges on side of road are all gone now because of no harvest laws/signs now in lowcountry S.C. because DHEC said theyre unsafe to eat now from the golf course runoff. Good luck with that... thank the elitest golf courses...🤔 all true, i live here.

Hey guys. I have a question. Christy said that y'all had been finding worms. In these oysters never heard of worms. Being an oyster not inside the oyster, but only oyster clusters. That was a here's bae. I'm a Christian. I ain't no oysters.

Try adding bacon when you put the oysters in the oven. Cook your bacon almost done in a pan, then put 1/3 of a slice on each oyster. Yum!
