It didn’t take her 20 seconds to get out of her vehicle. Second, she didn’t use the siren because in that area it’s easier to maneuver through the tourist traffic without it. All the out of state idiots panic when they hear the siren and would scatter like roaches making it much more difficult on the deputies. It also kept the other vehicles from getting hit. They weren’t in a downtown area. They were initially on Treasure Island, then St. Pete Beach (gulf beach towns) and then South Pasadena. Pinellas S.O. only chased because the woman rammed the deputy’s vehicle. They had to wait for supervisor approval to pursue. You couldn’t hear any of that because the deputy was using an earpiece.

She moved through traffic so much more easily without her siren and it appeared as though she had green lights most, if not all the way. So easy to sit in a chair and criticize. Almost felt like she struggled to get the correct siren setting. Moment she left the button it stopped. Might be relatively new in the department? But it is dangerous. I really support LEO wearing body cams. And no, actively resisting doesn't encompass all forms of resisting - because otherwise the qualifier "actively" would not be needed. There is a BIG difference between pulling away from an officer, waving your arms around, kicking, biting, hitting, etc. on the one hand - and just sitting with your arms locked on the street, not moving. The latter is called "passively resisting" because you refuse to follow verbal commands, but do not engage in any violence against the LEO. The law actually recognizes this difference in most places. In Arizona for example, resisting arrest using force or the threat of force is a class 6 felony, while passive resistance is a class 1 misdemeanor.

Wonder if she was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer when she aimed the car at the officer who deployed the sticks that actually flattened her tire. She swerved to avoid the sticks, but was aimed directly at that officer. My son-in-law had that happen to him when deploying sticks on a suspect. 3:16 Assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon (her car) Attempted murder. That cop had to jump out of the way. Some might say she attempted to dodge the spikes. I think she wanted to splat the cop.

To the lead driver in this chase: driving through traffic with no siren activated is imbecilic. You are coming up on traffic with no warning chasing a nutcase driver who likewise has no regard for the safety of others. As far as her swerving at the officer deploying stop-sticks, that could be construed as attempt murder all day long.

I noticed the sirens going on intermittently. Maybe the force has a policy of not running the sirens continuously for some reason.

Genuinely pissed me off like if someone had gotten hit either by the suspect or the cop herself that could have ended so much worse. She (the cop) really came off to me as scared, "oh noes I can't be too aggressive, oh noes I can't blip too many times", she at least in my unproffesional opinion is not ready for duty.

Suspeded licenses should be a court appearance and not a trip to jail,it would stop a lot of people from running but they wont change it cause they make money from puting people in jail..

Officers 100% correct all traffic will almost result in tickets or call a driver but if it’s something you did own up too it ! Truly feel she was scared but what about people she put in harmns way
