I love this logic: lets have some kids hold down a pony while another jumps on its back and runs around! For added fun, lets use the smallest and youngest ponies we can find, meaning that the kid will most definitely weigh over 20% of the pony's body-weight (the kid probably weighs the same as the pony!) to make it physically damaging as well!

also have plenty of screaming and clapping to overstimulate the pony even further!!

Please don’t do this. This is cruelty and imagine if u where that pony. Please think about your actions as you can abuse and hurt these animals. This is horrible.

I understand that horses can be injured and this is a form of abuse but bucking horses are some of the most well taken care of horses, people will not come to rodeos to see a malnourished horse

I do get where you are coming from with actual broncs for sure! 🙂However, this pony showed in the video is way to small for that dude. This can cause permanent physical and psychological damage to to the pony. I’m not saying that the pony isn’t taken care of, I am just saying that what they are doing in the video would be classified as abuse which I am sure you would agree with.

So many of these horses are put down due to injuries they sustain like broken legs...and even if they aren't physically damaged they sure as hell are mentally.

This isn't proper bronc riding, this is a small "wild" pony. I know well that most rodeo horses are treated like kings and given all they need, but it still doesn't make up for this. The horse didn't wake and decide that they want to do it. I know we can't actually ask formally and listen, but there are signs of when a horse is distressed and does NOT want to do something. This pony was showing those signs. Example, actual racing, statistics show at least three horses die a day as the result of racing, many are severely injured, start racing to young, and pushed beyond their limits. Now, off the race track, they may be treated like royalty (not all are), but that doesn't make what happens in racing okay. (I am not completely ignoring what you said, I don't think you meant to say that this is okay, just providing evidence to why this is bad)

Yes my horse does lot of bronks and bucks but she has 4 hay nets , 55cm bed and lots of water and she’s still um grateful 🥲
