Wild Roses in Bloom! Painting this lively landscape with yarn

Welcome to Fibrescapes! My name is Shelley Birkholz. I'm a Canadian artist inspired by nature's stunning beauty, and I paint with yarn!
Today I add wild roses to my landscape painting titled: "Wildness Blooms". This yarn painting is 24x36". It was such a lot of fun to make. I hope you enjoy watching the work in progress :)

Your work is so beautiful and inspiring! A few months ago, I had started working on a fabric landscape on large panel wood using fabric scrapes from clothes, scarves and cloth. They're very small pieces. I got a bit stuck on it and had put it aside ever since. From time to time I go look at it trying to figure out how to finish it. I also, create fabric landscapes and use yarn to couch. Your videoes literally popped up on my feed today and your process and creative way of using yarn, helped me realize, I can finish the piece above I mentioned by adding yarn in certain places on it. ❤️ Thank you for sharing your art and ideas.

That's so nice, Lesley. Thanks for your comment and support. I use a gel medium, available at art supply stores. White glue works too! I hope you have lots of fun with it! 🌸
