I've been amazed at how many times my 'friend' can load a grocery cart w/ whatever he wants and just push it out the door. Nobody says anything. And my 'friend' once left one store w/ an armload of stolen merchandise. Walked into the next store complaining of a broken bag, and the employees fell all over themselves helping bag those stolen groceries.

My friend used to take the store's bags in with her and as she added things to her buggy, she'd be bagging it up. By the time she got to the front of the store, she'd have 10-12 bags full, looking like she already paid. Her thing was "the more obvious you are, the less obvious you appear".

I was in The Macys in 3:40 upstate NY location at the perfume counter.I was talking to the lady hoping to score a free sample or something and this guy walked up to the opposite side of the counter and grabbed a big box of perfume n bodywash set that was at least $200 hundred dollars.He picked it up while she was talking to me and walked right out the door with it.She saw him as he left saying sir you have to pay for that! He was GONE

Actually stores are insured against theft… They lose 0 money from shoplifters. The reason things are more expensive is because of greed from big corporations. You know they don’t have to raise the prices on items but they do it anyway to make more money. If they were losing money how comes these big corporations are able to open multiple new stores every year? Look at McDonald’s and KFC, You can’t shoplift from there but yet their prices get more expensive every year, so what’s their excuse?

Actually that's not true because at the end of the year they provide all the shrinkage or loss merchandise to their insurance company and they recruit all those losses from their insurance. It's just one of those things that people go around and say oh you're the reason why people make products more expensive when it's really not true.
