@kimkartrashianstopmakingst90607 ай бұрын
It’s not always that easy. I am 42 and have struggled with depression since I was in my 20’s. My fiancé of 7 years left me in October ‘22 because of it and I had to move out of our apartment July ‘23. I’ve been homeless since, living in one of the most expensive states in the country. It’s impossible to get your life together with the cost of things. To even be considered for an apartment where I am from you have to make at least $60,000 a year. I lived in a car while working the last year and still unable to get ahead. Nobody even knew my situation. I had six pets with me as well or they would have been in a shelter. I’ve never had a problem with substance abuse drugs none of that.

@@kimkartrashianstopmakingst9060 you got this whoever you are. as the person below has stated God is always there no matter what. At the time she had moved me a pretty far ways from the people outside of my blood and family who cared. I was pretty stuck, and God was used as a way to justify the abuse. But the true Him was always there giving me what i needed to get out. it took years i’m not gonna life, our world makes it so challenging for a person to get out of homelessness and they can’t even see it which is worse. and were blamed for it, it’s depressing so depressing. i see you and i see your pain, so does God. pray and talk to him, give Him your pain instead of letting it define your worth. My ex met an older gentleman at Warsaw metro station. He wasn't begging, he had a placket "I'm not asking for money, I'm protesting the situation of homeless people in Poland" He struck conversation. The man was a musician, he worked as an "instrument tuner" - adjusting the sound and pitch and all that I know absolutely nothing about. He worked for Warsaw philharmonic and his contract included a small, humble but conveniently located apartment. He breathed and lived music. Warsaw philharmonic had a contract with one of the big french city's one, they "rented" their musicians, and he was offered, begged to go - with a raise, and everything. In the meantime, he met a woman - this was a good opportunity to earn money for down payment for an apartment. Two years went by, he noticed something was wrong with his hearing. He's been ignoring headaches for a year, but hearing was his job security. Long story short, he had a malignant brain tumour. In the meantime, the woman he was dating told him her family kicked her out due to family dispute about business, she had nowhere to go and no income, having invested everything into working for her family. She promised it'll be all settled, he started sending her money. The treatment made him loose his hearing. He was slow to admit it, working was what kept him alive. He was forced by the french director to go back to Poland, on a false pretense. He didn't know the law, he didn't have money or health to fight that. After all,his loyalty was to polish employer, right? He was fired,a disciplinary firing for.. breach of contract, disciplined for betrayal, for "making us look bad overseas". But, he was in remission, one of the lucky few... The woman,his fiancée, was supposed to pick him and his things up from the philharmonic company apartment. She never showed up. He was left with no qualifications other than those relying on sense he almost completely lost (and to add insult to injury, the type of hearing aid that could help him wasn't refunded by polish insurance), little savings. Betrayed by people he trusted most, company he was completely devoted to. Rest in peace, Piotr. There will be people ready to pick this man apart for his naivety, for his mistakes, for "not making better choices", but those of us who weren't born into close knit families or life of economic privilege recognise how close we ourselves have been to ending in similar predicament. Illness, job loss, personal betrayal, learned helplessness, surviving years of abuse.. You just don't know anyone's story. Homeless people are just like you and me, and while painting them all as lazy, stupid, mentally ill addicts who are paying for their poor choices can make us feel safer from the fear that we will share their fate it ultimately reflect on our own humanity.

Why did it take a dog loving him for him to show compassion to another human? An angel and a real man would’ve helped without a cause. Dude only did it for his dogs happiness originally. The dog is the real hero. It helped a homeless man and it taught its owner a valuable lesson about humility. Not to overlook people just cuz they’re down on their luck. Still bless for him for in his heart for making change. I hope he got a place asap As a hotel is a money pit. And I know how hard it is to get a place when you don't have credit or security or all kinds of obstacles and tribulations that being homeless has caused. I hope you made it. @razvane5130 well no not really actually. The Bible verses have changed to fit narratives to better control people. 🙌 to fit better in this world. It will probably change again in 100 years. It makes sense to all believe and act the same way. It's a peaceful existence. I live by the principle of always help others. You could be the one needing the assistance of day. If all you do it reject, you will become rejected. While I do believe there is a God, or a creator, I'm not sure where I fall religiously.
@razvane51306 ай бұрын
@@R.J.MacReady1982 The Holy Bible is unchanged. Thousand of manuscripts including the ones found and the Dead Sea confirm this. The Holy Bible is the Word of God, it cannot change. People distort the Word of God to accommodate their sins: lie, cheating, adultery, greed, pride, etc.
@DarlaAnne3 ай бұрын
@@razvane5130 Untrue that it's not changed. Christ's divinity wasn't even agreed upon until Constantine in 300AD with his council of Nicea, threatening to exile any bishop who didn't agree. The powers that be at those times decided what was best for them in terms of controlling the masses and the bible texts were certainly manipulated with that in mind in terms of what books were tossed out. And that's not even taking into account the copies and copies of translations. The worst things in the world have happened in the name of god and some of the worst people consider themselves believers. Sadly far too many christians do not follow the teachings of their savior.

I've rewatched this story a thousand times, including its following chapters. I always got emotional, perhaps because I am also called Bruno and I craved a Sora and a Thibaux in my life. The miracle happened, a Sora came to my door and now her and her 4 kitties are my family and cured me from all mental illnesses. They do so by the day. Recently another kitten hit my door, crying for help. She is part of the family now as well. I can confirm that animals choose us, but I also intuit they are coming for our rescue. Their mental strength is outstanding. Just watch them. They will solve the lack of empathy, and perhaps even the unavoidable problem of migration.

This man trusted his dog and then went the extra mile to help and I love that. I can only give them whatever spare food is in my bag, but it's the small things, they have all been so grateful and I do wish I could do more but I'm broke and living on medicals. So food it is. a bag of chips, an apple, a muesli bar whatever I got. Because I have lived with a roof over my head but no food for a week and if it wasn't for others helping it could have been worse.

What Sora and Thibault did for Bruno is something every single person watching this has the ability to do for their unhoused neighbors All we need is uncompromising respect for one another and to pull our communities together to help people Even if it's as little as bringing them food or extra clothes or inviting them over for dinner, when your neighbors are down on their luck, whether they have houses or not, you can help them. If we all helped each other like that, we'd all be living much better lives!

What a lovely man Thibault is to take Bruno under his wing. I'm a great believer in dogs knowing best and when my daughter first brings a boyfriend home, we allow our dog Cleo to introduce herself to them. So far, the only one she didn't growl at was James and to be honest I love him like a son. She would never bite anyone who came to the house with us here but she shows a dislike for certain people such as the police when they came here looking for someone who had long since moved out. She sat beside my husband giving a deep throaty grumble. I know she would protect us if needed.
