I have really been struggling with perfectionism. This season has been really long and hard. I’ve recently got married and lost my mother within the same year. It’s been hard to balance being a wife and also tending to my hurting family. The Lord has been so gracious to me, but sometimes it’s hard to see when I want to be everything for everyone. It wasn’t till recently that God really showed me my desperate need for him and that I can’t physically be perfect, but Christ is the perfector of my faith. He is holy and I am just being sanctified every day to be more of a reflection of him, but all at the same time not relying on my good works ❤️

I was just reading your newsletter about 'the quiet in the land' and it resonated with my heart and what the Lord has been saying to me too for a while. Psalm 35:20 mentions those who live quietly in the land, as does Amos 5:13 in the context of the times being evil, and also 1 Thessalonians 4: 11. I know when something keeps coming back to me, God is trying to wake me up to get my focus on what's most important, which we know is 'for our business to be about making Him known' through the myriad of ways that THIS can be achieved.
