Hi Sarah, as a Scot who spent 19 years living in the States, on returning back I struggled with finding canned pumpkin too. I do remember finding it in Tesco a few times and I think Waitrose had it too. I ended up doing my own from real pumpkins. It was worth it....that taste!! 😊. Only think I always found though was the surface of the pic would get quite dark when cooking unlike with the canned stuff the colour was more even. I must buy some pumpkins before they are all gone after Halloween. Enjoy your videos by the way, nice to see the local area... I live in Moray too 🥰

Hello Autumn. 🍁🍂🍃💛My favorite season. 🧡 Thank you for the beautiful video. If you have no time for a new one just put your camera out into the garden pointing to the green and the sky and we'll watch the clouds passing. 🥰

@@sarahinscotland Out of all the people I follow on YT, I have to say your choice of music is always on point for the storytelling you do (I'm a keen listener in that regard). From the examples you shared, your first choice gave the scenery a more relaxed feeling, which kinda matched the mood of the day in the images, and really added to the day-out-in-Inverness vibe. For what it's worth though, I don't think you've made a wrong choice in any of the videos I've seen, but I get wishing you could get some feedback now and then. Decision fatigue is real. :) Thank you for sharing your adventures and the insanely beautiful scenery of Scotland.

@@queen.cee234yea I tend to agree about the “day out” vibe. They are both nice, so in the end it comes down to which one represents the feelings I had at that time? In that regard the piano was more emotional which matched how I was feeling. Maybe somewhere between the two would be perfect 😊 but yea it’s fun to hear what you think!

For pumpkin, we use New England pie pumpkins for our tea business when making our pumpkin & chai lattes. Whatever type of pumpkin you use, you want it to be of a type for pies or similar. The types grown for carving and the like are going to taste awful. That settled, it's very easy to make the puree. Just roast the pumpkin (which has the added benefit of caramelizing it a little), peel off the skin when done, and then throw it in a blender.

Hi Sarah...I just love watching your videos...thanks for them. I had to comment on your pie. I,m from the mountains of North Carolina, but was raised in the Pennsylvania Dutch country....My grandmother taught me to make pumpkin pie from long neck pumpkins...just peel it and boil like you do for mashed potatoes...then put it in a collander overnight to remove excess liquid...mash that for your pie instead of using the canned. You can freeze that too. Can't wait to see what you do next!...Love your photography and artwork.

Another Great video. It warmed my heart 😊 I am a HUGE fan or ever changing unpredictable weather especially when it's very windy cool ,to cold ,to freezing lol And love love the rain! I've had folks tell me you should move to Chicago if you like wind and cold..so I did lol Others said Oh then you would love the UK. Well..thats next on my list and final destination! haha. ☺ Seeing Woflie with the drone inside of the house made me think (and I have prob seen this in a S-fi or AI movie somewhere pretty sure it's not an original idea lol) but maybe they need to make tiny small drones for inside homes and like for large house viewings live. In other words instead of Wolfie following around with the video a small drone maybe palm-sized, follows you by AI human detection as you move around the house or outside showing your daily life, etc. May be a bit creepy lol but not at all far-fetched! I'm sure they have that already. Just not available to the consumer market. Looks like you and your friends had a really good time while they were in Scotland. That pie looked scrumptious! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and the week ahead. God bless. ❤

I wouldn't be surprised if that is already a thing..they probably just need to figure out how to make small drones quieter! They are quite loud/high pitched

You can pretty much use any squash/pumpkin to make pumpkin pie. My favorite is Red Kuri squash. A lot like to use Butternut for it. But, really, I grow a lot of varieties of pumpkins and squash and use them all to make pumpkin puree for pies and soups. The only one you don't really want to use is Spaghetti Squash. The stringy texture isn't great for trying to puree it. That pumpkin you showed on the windowsill will work just fine as a pumpkin puree. You can even use field pumpkins, they're just difficult to work with because of their hard skin. But, if you can manage to split it in half and roast it first in the oven for about an hour and a half, it will work just fine. Just spoon the innards out. I use a blender to do the puree. If you have leftover pumpkin, you can just spoon it in a bag and put it in the freezer for later, just squish it flat so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

That apple pie looks delicious! Have you enjoyed a sharp cheddar cheese with your apple pie? It is one of my favorite food combinations. I grew up down the road from the Libby's plant in Morton, Illinois that produces their canned pumpkin. They use a variety called Dickinson pumpkin, which are much taller compared to pie pumpkin varieties like the one you have. While some people argue that this is a squash (it is closely related to butternut squash), it's just English semantics. Everything called "pumpkin" is a species of squash. Sugar pumpkins are the same species as zucchini, curcurbita pepo, but a different cultivar. Hope your from-scratch pumpkin pie turns out great!

beautiful waterfalls I have been going outside painting a lot more but only on the the weekend the rest of the time I'm stuck at home with my son his health is unpredictable like the weather and he won't come with me either perhaps a drone would keep him interested whilst I paint /sketch something the bush is calling me but hopefully not on 35-40 degree days thats a typical Australian summer
