Making a connection with them is huge. Be genuine and ask how the day has been, or how was their weekend? When I am streaming, I can't help but to be worried about the viewers not interested in me. I think friends and family joining the chat was actually a pretty awesome advice. A big thing for streamers to gain their first views is to tell friends. It’s not begging for them to watch just if they want to. People like to talk to new people in a stream, and thus only join streams when they see people there hence why you need people to start watching before you gain strangers

I watch plenty of streamers that don't have a camera. I do find that having a camera does help you grow BUT you don't need to start with one if you don't think it is the correct move for you. Wait til you find your style and flow and then you can decide if you would like to upgrade to a camera. There is no answer for "What time should I stream" only you can answer that!

Wild4Games well I meant that I’m from Eastern Europe and we have different time zones. Since I’m fluent in English I want to focus on international level of Twitch streaming. So is there a specific time that can guarantee me more views? Does it necessarily have to be based on pasifica time?

My only/big problem with my streams, is that I only have a PS4 and a pretty bad hp laptop which means I have to stream using PlayStations broadcast software. The quality is good, but there’s no overlays and no facecam so it’s really hard to get even one viewer.

I've been streaming for the whole year by now, I could get to affiliated status but never grown out of two or three viewers, and one of them is always my friend. I did have some bigger ones like 10 viewers, but it never happened again. It's frustrating to see that it's basically impossible to naturally grow on twitch, I've watched most of your videos, tried following your tips, played many different games I like. Anyway, I'm still gonna continue streaming, at least until my 12 months for the affiliated contract end, but I couldn't grow an audience of any kind

Most people base twitch as their main platform. The easiest way to get up from zero is to create content on KZbin or Twitter or Instagram and then once you’ve created some sort of community, you may feel like you would like to switch over to twitch.

My first stream only had just one viewer and only stay like 40% of the stream. I just think it a normal KZbin video and talk like I would make it a lp, so people won't get bored. There is also a app on mobile where it links your chat onto your phone for free, it's good for me as there is no way for me to see my chat any other way.

I have a 40 second delay between my voice coming in and the stream and have always said hello to my guests and they still leave. I’m guessing that delay ruins a lot 🤔

Wild4Games okay I found it, it’s set at normal latency. Should I set it at low latency? Also I stream using obs and it has a reduced stream delay option as well. I set it at 15 seconds, haven’t tested yet though, just trying to optimize as best I can
