Good video! Hey could you make a video about getting belongings from your house to your tech school or first base. like when would be the best time to tell your parents to ship your things. During techschool? Or FirstBase? Or should they bring it to your graduation?

Well, your parents can bring luggage to your graduation that you to take to tech school- but remember that 100% of your luggage (BMT duffle bag+your stuff) will be hand carried to your bus, around Lackland, back on another bus, off the bus at your tech school, around your tech school, and finally to your room. So I would recommend you only take one or two electronics (like a laptop) and clothes that can fit in a small bag. Most Air Force tech schools are 6 months or less, so I wouldn't bring too much there. Once you reach your first duty base is when your parents should ship you the rest of your belongings, and is where you should buy larger electronics like a TV, a car etc.

Howdy! I was wondering if there is anyway for me to learn even more about dorm chief? I leave for basic March 27th, and I would like to try and prepare myself the best I can for maybe volunteering for dorm chief. Thank you!!! ~Ethan

How do you get assigned dorm chief? I'm a 4 year JROTC cadet and 6 year Civil Air Patrol cadet and have handled bigger leadership positions.

djlolypop The time will come. The MTI may ask for the oldest person in the flight, the most experienced in managerial positions. And then he/she will pick the most qualified. You'll probably be able to tell when the time comes. Or the MTI may be straight up as for volunteers. I would just raise my hand at the time, give a reporting statement, and then volunteer. I wouldn't worry about too much competition. Most people won't even know what a dorm chief is
