If all the world's military folded their socks, t-shirts and bed sheets in this manner, we wouldn't have any wars. Too busy to fight!! Nice instructional video, though.

Thank you so much for this. I am in the process of training and losing weight to enlist. I'm not there yet but I'm learning as MUCH as I can BEFORE going so that I do things somewhat correct in BMT. I have a long way to go so I have plenty of time to practice. :) You have inspired me to start folding all my clothes like the Air Force ^^

And I thought I stressed about socks!😂 I just finished matching and stacking up the socks of my 6 babies! Now I'm working on my husband's and I remembered how my brother organized his socks so I searched for this video. Next, it'll be how to fold the t-shirts.

I came here from how to fold boxers cuz I’m tired of re-folding and organizing my man’s drawer. Every-time I do laundry I fight the urge to empty it before putting his things away.
You are a fantastic conveyor of information! Your explanation and instruction is magnificent. Thank you.

Spectacular!! I have 100 pairs of socks for daytime and another 20 for night time. Inside the house, outside the house. Summer and colder times (I live in Southern California, winter is 3 days, fall lasts a week and spring is most of the time when it isn't summer.) My socks fill an entire drawer. With this technique I can make better use of extra space. Thank you very much! ☺️🤗

Hope to see more of your videos even though my son is probably going Navy. I would still like to have him see an Air Force Recruiter. Thank you for your service young man and God bless you. Letty

Seriously, dude! TWO people and sitting on the floor with your feet against a drawer to roll one pair of socks!!! LOL Only men could complicate something women were doing successfully and fuss-free for years until women's lib and war forced men to learn to roll their own darned socks. Who knew watching someone rolling socks could be so entertaining. The lying on top of each other heel up was all I needed here. Thanks for that at the very least. LOL Anyone watching this - just put your socks on a flat surface and roll carefully. Unless you need it so compact that you plan to use it as a weapon or need two extra millimetres in your backpack, you don't need to go this crazy. Have a wonderful sock-rolling day. :D

They must have a lot of free time in the military before they pack to go somewhere that they have that much time to roll up socks for half an hour
@IndependentBear3 жыл бұрын
Nope. In basic, things like that come out of the few minutes of free time you have in the barracks before lights out. You learn to be fast!
@Beery19623 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Good to know our tax dollars are being spent wisely. Although I guess the more time the military spends making sure underwear is rolled tightly, the less time they can spend bombing school buses and hospitals while keeping the world safe for Halliburton and Exxon-Mobil.

The US military budget is currently $715 billion. They can probably issue replacement socks daily. Keeping military personnel busy doing useless tasks is probably far more important than keeping socks in a usable state.

Honestly, I applaud your dedication. But at 7 pairs of socks worn per week, that's about an hour of work, and not worth it. I roll my socks too, but definitely less meticulously and they're always ready to be thrown into an overnight bag. I also roll everything else, towels, t-shirts, polos, pants etc. I was never in the armed forces, but rolling stuff makes a lot of sense when travelling

Why is one sock longer than the other?
@Beery19623 жыл бұрын
Because this method stretches out one sock more than the other and ends up destroying the socks by overstretching the elastic.

Imma say you’re a Virgo Colonel. 10+ minutes on socks? I will add to your ten with a tip for older socks (for those of us out on the flight line). You can lay the socks on top of each other 🧦 (just like the emoji) and roll them in line. It’s a bit lumpier but faster and easier with older socks. - Maj. MMM, USAF, (Ret.)
