Watching from New Zealand. Great video, nice craggy scenery in parts. There's been a lot of work done making all them flat stone pathways by who ever, but they blend in nicely being natural stone from the area Magic views to wake up to on a fine sunrise, I loved that segment, it reminds me of so many sunrises on hunting trips using tents, and remote huts here in NZ The cloud inversion at daybreak was awesome ...... being above it that is, it would be a gloomy cold grey day underneath it

Brilliant video Rowan 👍🏽 That sea of cloud with mountain top islands was amazing, you definitely got a great camp.

Thank you, it was really incredible. Originally when the weather said cloudy all the time I expected to see nothing. One of the best this year.

Thank you. They certainly do, you and Tom really sold the Jannu to me, and I have to admit I am really starting to like it.

You've had both of these tents out in some nasty weather now. Which is quieter in the wind, do you think? And what would be your pick for overall storm-worthiness? Any regrets over the soulo? Personally, the soulo would be too small for me, especially with my dog with me. Anyway, another nice video. Thanks for posting.

I have indee, The Jannu is certainly quieter (being semi-geoesic it is more taut), overall strength I do not think there is much in it, if pitched correclty they can both take a hammering. Being freestanding however does fill me with more confidence is changing wind direction and snowloading. No not yet, the reason my Soulo went was due to it leaking, but when you are stuck in a tent for 16 hours, the space is much appreciated in the Jannu/Nallo. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Which would you prefer? Rowan.

Beautiful filming - thank-you for sharing! Do you find that the Jannu is roomy enough for 2, or is it better for solo use?
@RowanWildCamps2 ай бұрын
Thank you, it was a very special camp. I think it is adequate for 2, especially if you are organised. It is more than enough for solo use, a luxury rather than essential, but for 2 you will be more than ok. Only time I could see it being difficult is if the wind and rain is pushing the vestibule in when cooking for 2 with gear. If you knew you would encounter such weather regularly with 2 people, I would suggest an extended vestibule. Hope this helps. Rowan.

Beautiful scenes. I got to learn the timelapses better. What do you shoot those with?
