This was my first ever RMC that I have ever ridden, and it did not disappoint. this is a massive improvement over the original wildcat in every way possible and is hands-down my favorite coaster at Hersheypark

I had one of my best theme park experiences on this ride because the operators were all roller coaster enthusiasts and I found out because they complimented my iron gwazi shirt, but they were hustling and actually running to get these trains out insanely quick, which helped a lot considering the 90 minute wait time, but the line was always moving, it was such a nice change from the the other rides taking upwards of 5 minutes per dispatch!

Finally got my first ride today after going 3 times last year and the ride was shutdown each time…what a relentless coaster, each element was better than the first and it did not let up!!! The crazy thing is it was running cold but it was still HAULING!!! Looking forward to getting a nighttime ride this summer to see what this monster can really do!

It really does run through it's layout so much faster than you think it should. I've been on this coaster plenty of times in summer, fall and winter of 2023. While it doesn't run as fast in the winter, it is pretty much the normal running speed of any other RMC. Watch a replay of the wave turns and see how fast it flies through them. Compare that to something like lightning rod and the difference is so obvious.

The way Lightning Rod’s wave turn was designed/profiled it was meant to be with the launch at its original speed in 2016. Once they slowed the launch down and then now to a chain lift it doesn’t travel through it like it once did. You can’t really compare the two.

POVs always tend to look slower than how the ride actually feels, but this one was actually pretty close. I don't know if you found an ideal FOV or just happened to record on a pretty hot day last year, or maybe after 75 rides my brain is just filling in the blanks! Hope you get to take a trip out soon, Wildcat was running really well on opening day and the updated Skyrush is almost entirely an improvement on the original.
