I'm from Brazil and we have some Harpies in captivity, near from home. In short, I'd be stay calm under a tree full of Bald eagles. I wouldn't say the same under a tree with just one Harpy.

The harpy eagle is stronger, stockier, heavier, more aggressive, can see further, has a hearing of an owl and with a smaller wingspan more maneuverable. It can fly in between the trees of the rain forest with ease. It can hunt from above as well from bellow, but above all else it’s the smartest of the raptors out there. It’s capable of adapting to different situations on the fly!

I saved a bald eagle once, he had a broken wing and actually let me handle him and be next to him. I was fishing with my ex and found him about 50 feet from where we were and called animal control after I fed him one of my crappie cuz he was thin. He lives year round here about 5 miles from my house and has a roost right over the water on the illinois river and I just thought I'd share my bald eagle story

The Harpy Eagle was once widespread in all Brazilian territory. The bird existed not only in the amazon region but also in our other great rainforest ("forgotten" by western media) :the atlantic one,that extendend from northeastern to the southern part of the brazilian cost. The portuguese colonization and later urban expansion just destroyed most of the bird original habitat here (just 10% or less of the atlantic forest survive).

I was near a Female Harpy protecting her young at a aviary in Columbia - she was right next to me on the other side of a screen - She was the only bird I have ever been near which was terrifying. You can look at them on youtube but get up close to one and that beak looks like a giant can opener. In addition they have really ferocious personalities

Harpy eagles are 30%+ larger on average than a Bald Eagle. I'm American, but this isn't even a competition. Despite what feminists and Marvel movies with Black Widow say, size rules. The larger specimen will win the battle 99% of the time. Period. The average, unfit, typical male would annihilate top tier MMA female athletes without breaking a sweat. Harpy eagle is the most fascinating animal I've ever saw. There is one in my city's zoo. It was encountered shot in a farm and the zoo took her to treat her wounds. Since she cant fly longer distances and probably wouldnt make it on the wild, she now lives on there.

So how tall are both eagles?! Harpy has the feet.. Weight: harpy on the low end wins 8.8 vs 6.5 but loses on the high end by almost four pounds... harpy 10.6 vs 14.8 clear loss at the greater weight.. We know the females weight of the harpy but not the bald eagles but by your number its the samd for the females with at the greater weight the bald eagle wins. Wing span: harpy 7.6 vs 8.5 so the bald eagle wins the wing contest.. Yes i can Google the height but u should have added it.. You make clear distinctions as to say "south America" since neither bird goes on the others turf.. If its size cool but i wont sleep on old baldy.. When you stand outside a zoo full of harpies it not apparent that they weigh only 12 or so lbs. These things are big like turkeys and look prehistoric. Like apache helicopters: no fancy paint and markings, just serious weaponry and effortless hopping 15ft from perch to perch with hardly a flap of wings. These are killers make no mistake. Comparison with other species is like a commercial business jet with a F15,22 35 fighter.

A bald eagle flys up into the trees and sees some baby eagles, the bald eagle tries to snatch one but the mom swoops in but the bald eagle spots it first and flies up to face her, the bald eagle grabs the harpy eagle with her talons but the harpy eagle twists around and grabs the bald eagle by the neck with one of her talons but the bald eagle breaks free and they both claw at each other with there talons but the harpy eagle is more powerful and grabs the bald eagle with her talons and plunges two the jungle floor with her on top so the bald eagle gets all the impact and that exactly happens and the bald eagle is dead. The winner is the harpy eagle!!!!!
